I am a hardcore American Idol fan. I have watched every season. For some reason this time I don't feel that it is going to be as good. That could be because on the first 2 episodes most of the ones they showed were bad, but that might just be me. What do you think?

I've been watching it so far and it seems like it might be good, there are a couple i like so far. One thing that bugged me.. or that always tends to bug me, sometimes Simon goes a bit overboard. For example, telling that one kid that he looked like Bush Baby, that was rather heartless. I usually find him hilarious, like when he's talking about their lack of talent, but this poor kid was born looking this way, i thought that was just uncalled for. :(

He is a bit heartless and he gets on my nerves, but Paula gets on my nerves too. On the 1st episode she looked toasted. I just wish they would show more of the good ones instead of all of the bad ones.

I think they show more of the bad ones because they figure that is what the viewers want to see. Lets face it there are a lot of people who only watch the auditions so they can see the bad ones and hear what Simon has to say. I understand their thinking but for those of us who really like the show and watch it all the way through, it would be nice to see more of the real talent so we can make our decisions on who we think will win. I think that Simon goes averboard a lot of times but that is who Simon is. What really gets me is the people who just swear that they can sing but then they sound like an animal caught in a trap. I can't wait for it to get to Hollywood. I like the auditions but I really like it when the competition actually starts.
