i had a phone call today from my bestfriend same age as mine she was crying telling me that she discovered that her 14 yr old sis is pregnant. they only live together because their parents died in a car accident 4 yrs ago... i really dont know what is the best advise i could give to her please help me what to say because i myself is in shock and i love my bestfriend and her sis their so close to me.

This is a little old discussion but i want to find out what happened. I am so sorry about them. There's lot to do and money also is needed. Is your friend working or something. Sure, the pregnant girl must be still in school. This is huge. I think they must talk to their relations and get some help. Being a mom is anyway a big thing and imagine becoming a monther at 14! What you can do is being supportive and positive. Her's is a dangerous pregnancy cos she's still under age. But dont get her upset saying all this. Take care of her, by taking her to the clinic on time and following the doctor's advise closely. I wish everything would be ok with them. You are a very good friend and they are lucky to have you. Give her positive support and be ready to help her with it.Try to solve the problem together and get medical health too.It is because getting pregnant in an early age can affect the girl's health too.Pray a lot and hope things can turn better.

The first thing to do is listen, which I am sure you did because you are a good friend.
The second and most important thing is to avoid telling her what to do, but ask her what she would be comfortable with now that this is reality.
The third thng is avoid spending too much time wondering what went wrong. If your friend is blaming herself she needs to realize that she didn't send the girl out to get pregnant, and that one of the consequnces of puberty is fertility.
In our society it is rather young, but is not unheard of, for ladies to give birth at the age of your friend's sister. There used to be unwed mothers' homes that had ladies in residence as young as this girl is.
This is a complicated issue, so asking questions of your friend that will help her sort through her feelings so that she can figure out a course of action that she can live with, will be showing her that you will stand by her regardless of what her decisions are.
