I saw a preview for this movie just the other night and I was shocked to see that Jim Carrey is the main character. I have not been able to see this movie yet...I will unfortunately have to wait for it to come out on DVD, but in my honest opinion I think that it is going to be awesome!! I am a HUGE Carrey fan, and out of all of the movies that he has done I think that this is the first real dark thriller that he has done. Sure he was in "The Cable Guy" and "The Dead Pool", but nothing like this. I am interested in what you guys think of this movie or if anyone is going to rush right out and see it.

I've seen it and I'd say it was worth the watch. There was a big twist in the end of the story. I liked it. I better not tell you what happened, I don't want to spoil your excitement. :))

Hehe, yea it's been so long ago since I posted this, but I did get to see it. Actually I bought it :D It is definitely one of my favs from Jim because it is so far from what he usually does. Even now!!

I heard mixed reviews about the movie The Number 23, Jim Carrey playing a serious role rather than his usual comic roles. I didn't see The Number 23 yet, but after reading first response of this discussion makes me think I should probably watch this movie ......

If you are a Jim Carrey fan, I think you should watch it. It's a completely different side to him. It is dark, and very, very twisted. Far different than his goofy self. Honestly, I gave up on listening to other people's reviews because my opinion is always different from theirs--they hate it, I love it sort of thing, lol. So by all means, if it is something you want to watch anyway, then I'd say go for it :D

I haven't even heard of this movie yet. Is it a comedy? If so, Carrey will probably be good in it.

No, it is a dark thriller of sorts where from the previews it shows that he finds out that he was a killer in a past life. I really can't explain it that well, but I know that it will be good!!!

I just went to www.number23movie.com and it's pretty cool.I don't know if I'll go out and see or wait till it hits video but I WILL see it.Jim plays demented funny so well,it'll be great to see him switch to the darkside.Oh and they're having a contest for the movie if anyone wants to check out the posted 'confessions'.
