How do you define a regular book. Anyway, I think my reading speed depends on the type of book I am reading. It is faster when I read novels or other fictional books, and slower when I read medical books, in which there is a need to understand the text fully so I have to repeat every paragraph every now and then to absorb it.

it is not a matter of how fast you read but how well you have read and understood what you have read. it is not about quantity but it is all about quality.you may read faster than anyone else and comprehend very well because it became a need and you do not want to waste time. as for me, i take my time because i want that relaxing mood when i read and in that way i can absorb every word of if. a pocketbook novel of 300 to 400 pages would take me a week. for a fyi and a how-to books it would be longer maybe a week and a half to two weeks.

I read really fast. So, I will say maybe about 3 minutes or so per page.

I have never considered myself as a speed reader but a lot of people say I read fast. all books are different in my opinion. I believe that some books you read fast while others are things you have to absorb word for word so I take my time. But on average I say about a minute or two.
