How do you get the reputation points.

Guys I wonder how you guys get the reputation star.Is it based on how many friends you get or is it based on how you involve in all the discussions or is it others who gives you this reutation star?Please help me anyone...

You need to read your alerts when you see that you have new alerts in the upper left corner above your pic. If you had read your alert, you would know.

You will get a star when you reach 100 points. Once you get your star the number in it is like a rank. It will go up and down as you post more. Keep posting good quality answers and questions that generate answers and you will do well.
