Do you think its what's inside that counts? ...

If I walked into a room...
full of say 200 people, took a £50 note held it in the air and said who wants this?
I know lots of hands would all go up,
But then if I decided to crumple that note into a ball, ask the same question again,
yes I think the hands would all still go up.
OK then,
what if I dropped the note and ground it into the dirt on the floor, would those hands still go up hoping to receive the £50 ...
you bet they would!
.
No matter what I do to that note everyone would still want it, as its value would still stay the same, clean or dirty, crumpled or straight, no matter what it looks like
.
How many times in our lives, are we dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make or the circumstances that come our way and sometimes even by other people?
There are times when we are all made to feel as though we are worthless...
But no matter what has happened or what will happen in the future, We should all remember we will never lose our value,
Dirty or clean, crumpled or straight, we are all still priceless and special in our own ways to those who know us as friends or family, there is always someone somewhere that LOVES us
The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO we are.
We are all very special in our own little ways and we shouldn't EVER forget it.
We should Count your blessings, not your problems, theres always someone, somewhere worse off than us
Its not what we look like on the outside ... its what's inside us that counts...
Do you think I am right?

Bravo. That was asbolutely beautiful, and I had never thought about it in exactly that way. You're right. No matter what, we do not lose our worth.
I fully believe that it is what is on the inside that counts. Too bad that it is so much easier for men to judge us on our outer appearance. It makes me so sad. I know that I will never be what a man would consider beautiful on the outside, but I have a lot to give and a lot of love in my heart that I wish I had someone to share with. More than anything in the world. I am willing to look to what is on the inside of someone else. I only hope that i can find that person who will do the same for me.

I totaly agree with you. We should not let us down ourslef. If we respect ourself then only from others we will get respect. It is very important to understand the value of our own personality.

I have heard this story before and it really is very inspiring and encouraging. Indeed, i strongly agree with you that it's the inside that counts but as they say, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. And sad to say, most people nowadays, judge people from the outside. Most people only judge the beauty of a person through his/her outer appearance or looks without even bothering to see what's inside. I think this is the reason why some people feel inferior and out of place.
Like in my case, i am one of those many who usually feels inferior around people with good looks but I have learned through the years that it's really what's inside that really counts, because if you have a good heart, your beauty will naturally show and shine through your eyes and the ways in which you treat other people. I have learned that people who only judge from the outside are those people who have inferiority complex themselves.

I would have to agree with you as the only thing that really matters is what is on the inside since the outside grows old and looses all of it's potential but the inside remains in perfect condition unless they let the world break them by smearing them in the dirt/mud! Thank you for the great discussion and have a great day!!

It's a phrase I personally hate .. but everyone says I am 'non judgemental' .. I see good (and bad) in all peoples and I am always ready to leand a listening ear to anyone with problems ..
Everyone has good points .. we just have to be patient until we know sufficient about the person to discover their good points .. no matter what folks look often the folks you least expect it from have a heart of gold .. there is no way to tell what a person is like from a first glance .. it really is what is inside that person that makes then what they are ..
