Dual-core processors, What do you think of them?

Dual-core processors are great for multi-tasking. However, some people say that the clock speed isn't really that high.
What do you think of it? And what's the lowest possible clock speed a dual-core processor can get?

Well, a dual 2.8, for example, -IS- a 2.8, but dual does not mean 2.8 + 2.8 = 5.6
Dual-core 2.8 means that it does just what you said. It multitasks. You have multiple cores doing what a single core would do, but at the same speed as a single. So, Upgrading from a 2.8 from a dual 2.8 wouldn't make your web browser work faster, but it would, however, allow you to more effectively perform OTHER tasks while using your web browser, such as listen to music, or run an antivirus.

Yes thats true that they have less clock speed. but they are much faster than that of single core processors as two processors work simultaneously..
