Do you upload your own pictures on mylot or you take them from the internet?

I notice some of the pictures uploaded on the topics are from internet. Is it legal? What if a company finds out that their logo or picture from their website uploaded here? Can MyLot trace who uploaded the photos? I have just uploaded pictures here and I can guarantee that they were all taken by me and my camera. How about you fellow mylotians?

I have never taken any pictures from the internet to upload to mylot. I believe in uploading original photos. Meaning that these photos are genuinely taken with my own digital camera by myself. It gives me pleasure to do so. The other thing is that I can be sure that I am not infringing any of mylot's regulations on photo or picture uploading.

That's good to hear. I want to commend you on that. Many mylot users upload photos that I recognize from the internet. Just look at the interests section. I don't know if they are aware of what they are doing.

my own pictures...i am proud with what i am and what i have...taking pictures from the internet is piracy :D

I salute you. We need more people like you. But what about those who don't possess a camera? I also thought that it's somewhat improper to use pictures from internet especially if you are going to distribute it with pay. But for personal use I think it's okay.

Some pictures are mine. Some I've found on sites that offer free pics to use on forums or blogs, so I figure those are okay.

Okay, if that is what you believe. I have just got a response from tombol saying that some people really allow others to distribute their photos. This way the photos get widely distributed faster.

well didnt get a chance to upload pics as i havnt reached upto 500 points yet,but i dun nguess i can take pics of ma own n then paste it,as it quite time consuming n 2ndly its not necessary if u get pics of every related subjects form ur surroundings

You don't need to reach 500 to submit a photo. Photos will boost your earnings. But, take careful note on this, photos added to a discussion don't amount much. If you want to get more earnings, submit photos under the interests sections. Just basically anything that you think is appropriate under the subject or topic.

I think foto is foto once it is not copyrighted. you can post your own picture or download from the internet. Anyway, i don't even like the payment attached to pictures. so i don't trouble myself posting them.

You the thing is when photo is taken from the internet there could be duplication. Just like today I was browsing the photos of cats and i see a lot of duplicates. It's because they take it from the internet. I'm sure time will come and the admin will find it out.

I have uploaded my own pictures here. Most of it are my own but i recently added three from the net. Its diffcult to find from my own pictures something taht relates to my topic. I try to make sure though if the pictures were copyrighted or not from the net.

yes i upload my photos on websites.. why do i have to upload others photos when i alredy have mine with me on my pc.. it is illegal to post others photos and you can be punished for using others pictures without there permission..

That's right. But you see the pictures uploaded under the interests and topics, some I guess are pirated because I see them from other website as well.

I've only uploaded my own pics....but if a website lets you download or copy their pics....it's perfectly legal to post them somewhere els.If they don't want them posted elswhere....they won't let you make copys,download or print the pics.

Good you are being honest. But are you sure we can download and distribute photos from the internet?
