Men do cry and I have certainly but it is rare. But i know one thing there may be many reasons for a girl to cry but there is only one reason if a boy cries and that is because of a girl.. It is very true everytime i have cried it is either because of my mom or my girl friend!! But yeah men dont cry much.

Yes men too. Because they also have their heart and they also feel sorrow. When sorrow become extreme then they also cry bitterly. I know and i also cried sometimes.

i think its because of the way they are brought up. from the time they are small its ok for a girl to cry but when a boy cries hes told to be strong and not cry like a girl and even in school boys who cry are made fun of, so they grow up learning to repress their emotions.
society is like that, if men cry as much as women they are looked upon as sissies. its not true but thats the way it is. i will never stop my son from crying

My husband cries. In fact...he cries more than I do. I remember my father crying at my wedding, and the birth of my daughter, but that was all. My husbands father is very emotional and cries a lot as well. I think it has to do with how a man was raised and what ideas about crying he learned as a child; I also think personality has something to do with it.

i guess you wouldnt be asking the question "do men cry?" if you had seen the die hard sport fans weep their hearts out when their favourite team loses, ot for that matter when a man gets gets his private member caught in the unforgiving, unyielding, cold jaws of the pant zipper.thats sure to bring a few tears in his eyes!!! but seriously speaking(though i WAS serious about the whole zipper thing,i too have experienced the pain) crying is something thats not seen a favourable outlet of emotions by men. its been drilled into us from a very young age that real men dont cry. we tend to keep things bottled up and usually tend to let our emotions run in the course of other actions(violence usually tops the list). expressing emotions to moving thoughts and feelings is a strict no-no and a sure shot invite to ridicule and being called a "sissy". the only time i have cried was when i watched a movie and that too when i was watching it alone.now that i think about it,i dont think i would have cried if i had company,no matter how soul stirring i found the movie to be.

I've seen my boyfriend cried once , and that was when our son was born.
He have also had tears in his eyes the first time our son smiled and the first time he laughed.
It is nice to see that he expressed his feelings that way. Although I have never seen him cry of sadness , only of happiness.

Yes, just like women, men do cry because they are also human being and they also suffers sadness, fears and depressions. The reason that we seldom see them cry is because they are very good in hiding what they feel, I guess it is their nature because as men they have to be strong and brave and some men think of crying as a weakness - I remember a father telling his son not to cry for he is a man and a man do not cry, i disagree with him. Just like any woman crying makes you feel good specially if you have something heavy in your chest. Just recently I saw my husband tears flowing from his eyes while we were eating breakfast and that was the time that his father scolded him for a reason, I asked him why he cries, he did not answered me and just said nothing but his tears keeps on flowing from his eyes. I knew then that he has something inside him , hes mad to his father but cant say it because of respect to him. I do see his weaknesses and several times i told him there's nothing to be ashamed in crying.

You are absolutely right, that men are seldom seen to cry. May be it is their male ego or social standing, that prevents them to cry in public. But definitely men do cry, only when their deepest emotions are fingered with Not like women, who are so emotional that a small matter can see her crying. I do cry. I am a emotional person, but my expression is only till few drops of tears only. Sometimes when I am moved by a emotional scene in a movie, my heart becomes heavy and tears fill my eyes. But thats it, nothing more than that. When I lost my father, beyond my expectation, I couldnt cry! I had so much of sorrow in my heart but i couldnt exress it,like the way others do.
