Want to make a loaf of homemade bread? What could be more simple than this recipe.
NO KNEAD BEER BREAD
INGREDIENTS
2 2/3 cups self-rising flour
12 oz beer, freshly opened, chilled or at room temperature
DIRECTIONS: Heat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Put flour in a medium bowl. Add beer and stir with a rubber spatula just until mixed and flour is moistened completely. Scrape into a prepared pan. Bake 50-55 minutes until top is lightly browned, sides pull away from pan, and pick inserted in middle comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 5 minutes, then turn out on rack to cool.

hmmm, very simple, I may have to try this recipe sometime, does it taste good? You always post the best recipes :) I tried the hutspot (I think that was what it was called with the keilbasa, potatoes, carrots, and onions) it was great, thanks for all the great recipes :)

Well I guess it couldn't get anymore simple than this. Sounds great to make anytime. Have you tried it? Is it any good? I usually use my bread maker, but I just may have to give this a try. I'm sitting here just thinking about lunch. Now you've got me really hungry for fresh bread..hehehe

Darn, I just went out to the kitchen and was going to give it a try and I don't have enough flour. I have 5lb of whole wheat flour not self rising...lol Oh well I'm going to the grocers later.

Thanks for this recipe ElusiveButterfly! I am horrible at making bread when it comes to kneading it. This seems so simple, I'm going to try and make it tomorrow. I'm really excited, I would love to be able to make homemade bread daily for my family, but I always screw it up! Thanks again!

Yes, I want to make a loaf of homemade bread! I've been trying to make a decent loaf for years. Your recipe sounds very easy, I have written it down, and hope I will at last achieve success! I've made loaf after loaf, with no desired effect. Thanks for the recipe!

I did try this recipe, and I loved it. The outside was crusty and yummy! I think it would be awesome with spinach dip or artichoke dip! I just used it as regular bread with our supper. Next time I will try it with one of the afore mentioned dips. My first great homemade loaf of bread-at 40 years old!!! Yay!

Take your same self rising flour, and just moisten with heavy whipping cream. Knead on a floured board and cut rounds. These are great biscuits.

really, this is my first time to know it, did you make it for your home bread or commercial, how does its taste?and did you put another flavor to the bread or just for the fruitcake.

This sounds really good and easy. The two best things. I will have to try this as it would be pretty cheap as well. I think it's also something that my husband would also like, which is really important.

This sounds delicious. I can imagine with a good stout it would be good too.
