I am an extremely inventive cook i can make almost anything from nothing. Almost everything that i make is a home cooked meal that i never before made and will probably never make again exactly the same way... LOL! How about you do you follow a recipe or cook from a box???

I would say that I am an inventive cook. To me its just common sense and I dont understand why so many people say they cant cook. I truely believe that they just dont want to. Maybe Im inventive because I had to teach myself how to cook so I think that comes hand in hand.

I hate cooking but when I get in the mood I can be inventive . I hate having the same thing all the time so I like to try something new , the problem with this is that it isn't always all that great and I end up spending more money on trying something new then if I had just prepared it the right way .

Am pretty creative, since I have canned and kept a pantry and could whip up things fairly quickly. Usually I will follow a recipe at first and then go from there to create things more taylored to our family. We do use some box things since we are kinda tight with money right now. We do pay attention to the value of the food we tend to eat. Trying to get fresh vegetabels and fruit in this house, especially easy in the summer with my garden and things I grow!

I'd like to say yes, but no I'm not a very good cook. I'm still in the process of learning how to cook so I follow the recipe.

I always try to follow the recipe in cook books. My dad is a big fan of innovative cooking. I guess I would try to do this too when I grow older and wpuld have more experience in cooking.

A cook book or a box only gives you the basic to make the start of a good meal. You always have to add some other ingreedents to make it to your liking. Then after that you might be able to start making it from scratch. That is where you get making it different each time until you get it to where you like it. Like here try something and see how you like it. Try flavor injecting a turkey the next time you cook one. But leave the outside open and with little seasoning on the top of it.

Yes, I prefer not to use recipes, I prefer to experiment and to make my own recipes. To me a kitchen is like my canvis and it gives me a chance to make awsome meals and art work.

I do alot of my own cooking. I don't have recipes that involve main meals. I ususally cook the same meals every week so I get pretty good at remembering what I use each time. I never measure, just dump. LOL

I am not a good cook and I hate to cook so when I have to do it I follow a recipe. My husband is the cook in our house and he does it very well. He loves it. He always makes a home cooked meal and it is always very good. I love his cooking. I can sometimes throw something together if I have to but I just don't enjoy it. :)

Oh I wish I was an inventive cook!! :( However, I'm not, I absolutely have to have a recipe. I don't normally cook stuff from a box, unless it's K-D for the kids, lol. I never know what spices go with what so without that knowledge, I can't cook unless someone tells me how much of what to put in it, lol.

I actually just wing it myself. There are no rules to cooking and it doesn't really matter how mush you put it in! As long as you know that it will taste good! I always use a type of garlic spice and it always turns out good! Besides that garlic is very good for a person!!!

No, I will sometimes use a recipe as a guideline, but I read it and I am done with it.
My soups never come out the same twice. When people ask for a recipe and I use amounts like plops I get strange looks, but I don't measure. I wing it.
My pumpkin pancakes are often requested and other then the bisquick and milk, I measure nothing and the ingredients vary everytime. Same thing when I make a lot of different dessert breads.

I rarely cook from a recipe. Unless it is something new that I am trying, then I will....but even then....I tend to modify them a bit "and make them my own". I make up lots of recipes that my family raves over, and then I wish I had written it down as I went so that I could make it again. Even my homemade soups that I make a lot of never turn out the same twice. Guess it just keeps it interesting!
