Do any of you remember sitcoms like Family Matters, Full House, Cosby show, Punky Brooster, Rosanne, Fresh Prince of Bellaire The list goes on and on. What was your favorite? Do you still watch them to this day. For me they incite warm memories and when I am sad I like to lean back and watch some, it's a good pill to take. Things like 90210 Are more like soapopras, but what of those did you like and still watch to this day?
Which ones do you like currently, they are so very differnt in context than they used to be. What do you thing, do you think the older ones where better?

I do enjoy watching these old sitcoms. It really irritates my children as they just don't understand why I like those old shows. I watch Rosanne all the time but I think that I like the old shows of hers just as much as the modern ones. I will turn on TV Land at least once a week just so that I can see some of these shows from my childhood. Fresh Prince of Bellaire is probably the only one that I watch they my kids actually enjoy watching with me.

Hi, I'm new here, but you've gotten to my era of tv watching now. The Rifleman, Wagontrain, Bonanza, even further back was The Lone Ranger.
How about Route 66. Oh my I loved those two guys whose names I can't even remember any more! lol I saw the Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. Okay, I've proven I'm older than dirt, I'll be quiet now! Thank you for the memories.

I think the older ones are alot better than the ones now. My favorite are Fresh Prince of Bellaire, Full House, Roseanne, Mama's Family, Three's Company, Good Times, The Nanny, The Jeffersons and Family Matters. I still watch some of them whenever they're on. My new favorite are Friends, Will and Grace and Frasier.

Now the tune from WKRP is running through my mind. The DJ had a show of his own too. I can't remember the name of the show to save my life.

I used to watch the Cosby Show religiously, and Full House. I also watched Punky Brewster, Roseanne, the Fresh Prince (hasn't Will Smith gotten so much more attractive as he's aged?).
I also like The Brady Bunch, LaVerne and Shirley, Happy Days and many others.
Since my husband and I are trying to get out of debt, we don't have cable, so we just get NBC and ABC which don't run re-runs. I wish they did though.

I loved some of the sitcoms that were out when I was growing up. Mork and Mindy, Facts of Life, Kate and Alley, and then later Rosanne, Grace Under Fire. These were very good. I don't watch too many of the modern sitcoms but I do enjoy Reba. That can be very good. The rest just don't really interest me or they are on at bad times. When I can catch the older shows on I love to watch them. Brings back a lot of good memories.

yes i did, my favorites are: Cosby Show, mission impossible, mc Gyver, full house, Beverly hills 90210, charmed, etc. for me the older ones were better than the new one, and the old casts are better than the casts of today. specially in the BEverly Hills 90210, i like the old casting like jason preistly, shanon doherty and the other cast in the past.

I still love watching the reruns of Happy Days, it reminds me of watching tv with my grandfather. My kids love watching the reruns of FullHouse and it always fun to sit down and watch it with them. As far as the old soaps go, my favorite was Knots landing.

I love the old shows like that, which is why I watch a lot of TV Land & Nick at Nite. I personally don't think they are showing enough repeat of good old shows anymore like they used to. I'd love for someone to start showing Mr. Belevedere somewhere & Webster...plus many more. They just make me happy and relaxed.
I like todays shows just as much as the older shows. But there is something about the older shows that calms me.

I love Full House and still watch it whenever I can..its an amazing show and reminds me of good 'ol family times. Nowdays you can hardly stick to one show since it changes often and what starts off as a good family entertainer hardly stays the same till the end.

I think the older sitcoms were and still are better. I may be older than you. I remember The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, And All in the Family ! Everytime I see a comercial for a new sitcom, it doesn't seem funny. Or it sounds funny and I try it and the comercial was funnier than the whole show. Thank G-d for Nite At Night. I can still see the oldies but goodies.
