I have been a member of mylot for 3 months already and I posted less than 200(before posting this discussion) and I can say that I have learned a lot either from the discussions, the posts of the members and especially I have improved in the construction of sentences. I don't practice my grammar that much because we are not required to do it here in my work. What I mean is, my job is not to construct sentences or even to make a paragraph or to speak english everyday.
How about you? What are your good experiences here in posting discussions here in mylot?

thank you all! that's heart warming. but honestly, there are times when i need to stop and pause for awhile and think for words, better words to further express what i really feel.

It is good to hear you get benefits from mylot, it is a wonderful online community. By reading and posting in mylot, I have improved my English too because I need to think in English while I am posting in an English community. We can have our English improved when we use the language frequently. The more we practice the more we gain. I always like someone to correct me if I was wrong.

I totally agree with you. Posting here on myLot has improved my spelling and grammer.
I can't write my response on word to check my spelling and then copy and paste it here. That means I have to think about my spelling and grammer which has really helped me.

One of the reasons I post in Mylot is to improve my ability to express myself on issues other than business.
It is really sad how our conversational skills get lost through lack of use. I hope that that changes for the better with practice

Me too. Expressing my thoughts or opinions here in mylot helps me a lot in trying to tell others what I mean even if I don't know them personally. Mylot is a place for a good interaction between people who personally don't know each other but they bother to answer your questions or ideas.

That's good. I think blogging is also one way of developing not only writing skills but also organizing the thoughts in the mind. This is a good site where people can express themselves. Not only do I also benefit in improving my writing and of course grammar, I also get some information here. People are just so generous in sharing their knowledge. I just hope that most of it is real.

well i admit that posting and reading discussions here in mylot can improve our English as well as grammar because we will learned a lot from people who used to speak English. So in that way we are able to apply it in our own dialect or discussions while posting here. So i can say it is really great to be a member here.

My work does not necessitate writing and i am not that good in grammar nor fluent in English either. Though we normally use English at the workplace, i feel that im losing tract of correct grammar coz my colleagues are mostly Japanese and non-English speaking citizens so i have to adjust my use of English to the simplest way possible inorder for most of them to comprehend. Using the correct tenses of verbs aren't practiced and simple words should be spoken in their simplest meaning. I find myself getting a bit dull sometimes. At least now, being in myLot, i could practice and improve my grammar as well as my writing skills. Though we aren't required here to answer in correct grammar and spelling, and freestyle writing is allowed...i find responding to discussions here at myLot a great help to improve myself.

First of all that's very good...and for me, being able to hear peoples thoughts to things I go through, see, hear...Even give advice...I'm always wondering what the next person thinks about situations and such...

You absoultly right! I'm an international member, and english is not my toung language so I don't speak english with other people.
I have a big english test in Grammer this year, and I have notice that while i'm responding and open a new discussion, my english is getting better.
I learn a lot of new words here, and corrected my other language mystakes that I had.
myLot really helps me out with my english, and i'm so happy that I can have fun and also to learn. It's just great!

I learn to impove my grammar too and lern new things.I think that is more valuable that the money i earn here. The money i make here in a month i could earn it in 2 hours by installing windows on a computer. But i want to pay my internet from mylot.I think the greatest thing about mylot is that has so many different domains and everyone can lern from them.

I started with myLot a week ago and I have seen the advantage of using this as a venue to express yourself freely and hearing out what others think with a lot of sense compared to others. Another thing is that the use of myLot forces you to choose words carefully so that your grammar will sound right. It makes you conscious all the time.
