Not your house, your MOVIES! Do you like to watch them again and again or would you rather rent for a few dollars and not own anything. I am interested in knowing as I joined an membership to BUY new release DVDs for a low, low price.

I buy movies for the kids to watch because the watch them over and over again. But the movies I want to watch I rent because I only watch them once.

We do neither. We have a Sky package, which has so many channels and so much to watch (including movies), don't really need to rent DVDs, as don't have the extra time to watch them! The only time I buy DVDs is at Christmas, as gifts, and they are usually favourites that I know will be watched over and over.

I really do not watch tv or movies that often, but my husband is a nut when it comes to movies. He often buys them and can watch them over and over. Of course, he does share with the kids. His big thing now is recording movies from the satellite, (hbo, showtime, turner classics, etc.) and recording them and making his own movies. He buys a pay per view and records it, he even records movies that the kids bring over with them. He has quite a library of movies of all different types. LOL, thank goodness, he doesn't like Arnold.....

it's ok to rent if you just want to watch it one time. or that the movie is just a so-so.. and you don't want to keep it as you don't and will not watch it ever again. :D buying movies on the other hand a much expensive.. but you will have a collection of good movies whenever you just feel to be a coach potato... :D

I prefer to rent movies unless I really like a movie and I would like to own it. Because we do not have space to save all the DVD's, I think renting for now is a great idea.

We actually don't do either right now. We used to rent them, but now we have all the movie channels, so usually just wait until it gets on one of our movie channels to watch it. We rarely buy any movies, cause most of the time we just are interested in wanting to watch them more then once. Its different I guess if you run across it on the TV and want to see it again then having it? We do buy Disney/Pixar movies though here and there.

i rent, well actually, usually i watch movies in the cinema, but i also have a dvd membership to get my hands on those movies that come late in the theatre, or don't come at all. i think renting is more smart, cuz buying is a risk, what if you don't really like the movie, whereas renting is usually a good deal, and if u really like some movie and u gotta have it, then u can go and buy it later.

I rent online and also buy movies. Renting first is a good way to decide if a movie is one that I would want to see more than once. But I hardly ever buy movies brand new. I buy from Amazon and half.com. Since I'm a Netflix member I can also buy used movies from them.

Most of the time I will buy the movie it is it something I really want to see. The video stores around where I live will sell previously viewed movies and many time it is only a few dollars more than renting it. For me I have found it to be cheaper in the long run.

We buy some. There are somethings I can watch again and again! Like "A Christmas Story" "Ace Ventura" "Pirates of the Caribbean" All the 80's stuff. My Hubby is the one that can watch a ton of movies over and over....like spaghetti westerns and stuff.

I usually just rent them. If I bought a movie that I have never seen and I hated it, then it would be a waste of money. I would rather rent the video for really cheap, keep and and watch it for a couple days and give it back, because i will probably never watch it again.

I buy movies, cause I tend to watch most movies at least 4 or 5 times. I usually buy them when I can find them for cheap. If I want to test out a movie and see how good it is I usually go to the movies and watch it on the big screen.

I usually only rent movies. Only my favorites do I consider buying. Many times the whole complete seasons on my fav. tv shows are so expensive and tv network do many repeats. I can just record them.

Depend on the movies. If it is great, I'll buy it. If it is well ok, so so, or bad, I'll rather rent it. Actually there is another option, all u have to do is find a friend thats maniac to movies and love to buy it. Then, you could borrow it or watch it in their house. It is free.
