Are branded shirts really costly?

I often think that branded shirts are very costly. However my friends point out that they give longer service. Those are also well stitched, excellently designed and easy to source from. What do you feel? If branded shirts are really good, then what are the prominent brands? How long have you been using the products of the same brand? What are the good things you have experienced?

Yes in the high range level they are just not costly. They are exorbitant. It is not only true for shirts,it is true for any garment. How then you can justify the prize of Rs.1 lakh for a jeans pant?

No! What do you mean by branded shirts? There are different brands catering to different income segments in the population. I have, for the last 10 years, purchased only 'KUMAR' shirts, and they are cheap! In fact, recently, on a trip to a place called 'KAKINADA', i bought two shirts, one a shade of green and another, a shade of pink, that are really sober and suited to my job as a teaching faculty. If you mean brands like 'OXEMBERG' and other expensive brands, then definitely, they are expensive. But they give extra value for what you buy, like being 'crease-free' and 'non-fading'!

I raised the discussion keeping in mind 'Double Bull', 'Zodiac' etc. So, finally what you suggest? Should we wear branded shirts if those are withinn our reach?
