You and your hair

All of my life I've had hair reaching down to my waist. To be honest, I don't think I've ever had my hair more than trimmed. It has never actually been "cut". Two weeks ago (4 days before my 18th birthday) I went with my aunt and finally got my hair cut to about shoulder length. This was a big change for me and has really boost my confidence in myself. It's a simple change but I know it makes me look older, prettier, and suits me much better. Everyone comments on how good it looks and I'm happy I made the change.
Have you ever went from long hair to relatively short (at least what you feel is very short for you), and did you experience the same? What did you do with your hair? Did you donate it? How much did you cut?
To make this short, what has been your biggest experience with your hair?

Really? That's actually quite interesting because I've never heard of a female keeping her head shaved like that. That must get a few good looks walking down the street. Awesome for you though for doing something not many females are willing to do.

I guess new change does help you move on a little. A "new you" brings something to look forward to and opens up new doors. Even if it's just a hair cut.
I hope you find yourself a new guy. Dwelling on the past just doesn't work. I'm learning that now myself.

as you can see my photo on the side, i have a long hair but now -- i have a shoulder level hair which, well fully regreted, i wish i had it done with the experts. i just asked someone to cut it. i wish i just made it to hot-oil or relax or something.. i love that hair but i found not much of a time only dearing my hair.
well i'm trying to get grow and get it back to the hair i like better. just like before.

You had very beautiful hair. Mine was very unhealthy and frizzy, so cutting it was more of a relief.
I would have to say though that with hair like yours I wouldn't get it cut by just someone. I never liked salons before, but now I trust them. You could always go now and get them to style it and give you some advice =)
