resize photos/ distortion?

how do you resize (make it bigger) a photo without distorting it? i have tried photoshop, powerpoint, paint, pictul, quickresize and all of them still distort the picture. any help would be greatly appreciated.

linepau1 Increase the resolution in Photoshop. Or for better results, if you don't mind touching up the photo, print it onto matte or regular printer paper, and if you own a scanner, scan the image in at a DPI that works for you.
