I was sitting thinking today and ran accross this. I even wondered what was life before a Computer. Ahhhh the memories LOL...But I have to say when I came accross this it really made me laugh, so I had to share with my friends on MyLot.
Memory was Something that you lost with age
An application was for employment
A program was a TV show
A cursor used profanity
A Keyboard was a piano
A Web was a spiders home
A VIrus was the flu
A CD was a bank account
A Hard Drive was a long trip on the road
A Mouse Pad was where a mouse lived
And if you had a 3 1/2 inch floppy...you just hoped nobody found out.

That's funny! I know lots of 'old-timers' can identify with that.

Hehe those are good and for those of us who remember those days we know it's true. There are so many things that growing up mean different things today. I'm not really that old and so much has changed. Makes me wonder what the next 40 years will bring.

Okay, you are perfectly correct. Nonetheless, those terms are still applicable as they used to be used. What I remember most before the computer was how we did those reports and communication letters just using the typewriter. How many sheets of bond paper will have to be wasted before one will be able to produce a perfectly done page. Yes, this connotes how much time is spent just typing a single filled sheet of paper. I cannot remember exactly though, how many pages I manage to produce each day then.

I must say that you are a really deep thinker... the analogies are great. And as far as life before computers is concerned, it surely must have been a pretty tough one. How the heck did people send e-mails back then...?
