Fix that idea in your memory .. just in case he takes a detour from being a great son once he becomes a teen-ager. Today I'm alive. I have no promise of tomorrow. I have only these hours to make a difference for someone else. And, that will make all the difference for me.

When we focus upon our blessings instead of our problems, we start to realize how rich we are! And, money does not make a person rich. Family, friends and quality living for the right reasons is what really makes us rich.

You said it. For me if it was just about money I know of easier ways that don't take to long to do and makes a bunch more then I do here. I enjoy reading the posts and helping others when I can. And Along the way i have found out some very interesting information that I would otherwise never have thought of researching.

I woke up this morning to find six more pages of responses to this discussion. So, it is obvious that most of the people on mylot.com are about a lot more than just money. It is great to see people sharing with each other about the things that really matter in life.

These kind of riches aren't a single pie. The source of our riches are inexhaustible, so there cannot be any competition. Thanks for adding to the discussion ... we need to remind each other of how wealthy we are in things that really count.

Yes, I am your friend. 1. Choose to be happy .. not because of how you feel, but because you CHOOSE to look at life with an attitude of gratitude. 2. Change your perspective. A pessimist sees the problems in every opportunity. An optimist sees the OPPORTUNITY in every problem!!! 3. Get into communication with your Creator, God, and learn what HE values in you and in your life. 4. Understand and accept that NOONE owes you anything. You've been given everything you need to be a "success" in life. Therefore, since you have abilities, talents, and opportunities, you choose whether you will be a victim or an overcomer. 5. Focus upon others rather than focusing upon yourself. There is always someone who is worse off than you .. help them.

You would not believe how shy I was as a child. I would blush crimson when the teacher called on me. I was a top student, and knew information, but was so afraid of people. Now people look at me and cannot imagine me ever being lacking in confidence. This proves a point: if you BEHAVE enthusiastic, you will BECOME enthusiastic; if you ACT confident, you will start feeling confident. Think how much more fun life is when meeting new people is viewed as an adventure and a learning experience, rather than fearing what they may think about me! They probably think a lot less about me than I want to know ... in other words, we are a lot more important person in the view of other people in our own mind than we truly are in their mind. Fear is just faith in reverse. Fear expects something bad, hurtful, embarrassing, etc., to happen. Faith believes something good, helpful, uplifting, etc., to happen. How many things we fear never happen at all? When you think about that .. realize how much time and energy you have put into fearing things .. then you will realize you have been paralyzed by the FEAR of something happening, not the reality of something bad happening. It is a waste of time, emotional energy, physical energy and more time, to live according to fear. Edison said: (he invented the light bulb) .. "I have not had 10,000 failures. I have found 10,000 things that DO NOT WORK.!" Point? You can't find success by avoiding things that might not work!

What can i say? .. very enriching and very enlightening. Read it a couple of times, absorbing every word u said, sinking it in my mind. U don't know how happy i am to find someone here who is very willing to help out others in times like these... Not thinking of the bucks i'll earn here, thinking of new friends i've found like you, thanking you and will forever be grateful for these. . Let's keep in touch okay. Thanks again. Godbless!

:) Nunya .. but, I think you prove the one point about pessimists and optimists .. Pessimists look at the opportunity and see the problems; optimists look at the problem and see opportunities. Marriage is about helping and protecting and loving each other, not about keeping score.
