The pirates, thieves, smugglers, decoits, killers and devils always are smarter than any sequrity system, cops, police, spys and scintists.
So if they don't remain smarter no crime will occure.
Hence don't try for ignoring the crimes in life.

Nothing can guarantee the security of your computer 100 percent.
You can continue to improve your computer's security and decrease the possibility of infection by using a firewall, keeping your system up-to-date, maintaining a current antivirus software subscription, and following a few best practices.
Tip
Tip: Because no security method is guaranteed, it's important to back up critical files on a regular basis before you encounter a virus or other problems.
Steps to help avoid viruses:
1.Use an Internet firewall (Note: Windows XP with SP2 has a firewall already built-in and turned on by default).
2.Visit Microsoft Update and turn on Automatic Updates.
Note: If you've installed Office 2003 or Office XP, Automatic Updates will also update your Office programs. If you have an earlier version of Office, use Office Update.
3.Subscribe to industry standard antivirus software, such as Windows Live OneCare and keep it current.
4.Never open an e-mail attachment from someone you don't know.
5.Avoid opening an e-mail attachment from someone you know, unless you know exactly what the attachment is. The sender may be unaware that it contains a virus.

I use Norton and Avast (free) for my sister's computer. I tried Kasperski before, but found it was way too heavy on resources and pages took forever to load. Best thing to do is to use Firefox with the adblock extension, stay away from adult/warez sites, and if you absolutely must visit sites like that, do it through a "transient storage area" like sandboxie which is also free and available here: http://www.sandboxie.com/ Then you can easily delete any damage done by such programs without restoring your whole system.

I'm using the free AVG version as well and have heard nothing but good critics on it.
I have actually hear that AVG are able to find viruses that a lot of paid programs can (Like Norton :-O)
I also use AdAware for all the spy- and adware out there...I also used regestry mechanic and that worked well (speeded up my pc), but my trial period went out.
Anyone knowing a good registy cleaner?

well i think the best option is to install a good antiviirus and the best on eaccording to me is the bit defender. it is fast, takes less resources and also it has a ice update facility so yu et updates quickly and also you definations are always aware of the new virus releasing. and one more thing it shwos a graph of internet traffic and also the pc file traffic so you come to know when youtr computer does scan and when

if you want the maximum protection from spyware and viruses try:
1.zone alarm security suit(maximum protection)
2.pc-cillin internet security(great stability)
3.kaspersky internet security(light on system)
all of them are secured and assure you the safety of your data. so stay protected..

Unless you have a licensed, authorised latest and paid version of the standard software, for example "Norton".
There is every possibility of getting affected by some or the other devil in your stomach.
Whatever free you get in the market is not that trustworthy.
Could you just apply a logic,
who & why one will provide a free service?
Few things are better hidden I can't note them here.
Just take care of your valued data, hardware & the softwares you have in your magic box ok?

There are possible cases in which your machine may be infected with possible trojan or virus or some threats in those case you can run some Virus Detectors and Anti-Virus alone can't help you in some situations. You need to have Registry Cleaner for that for finding the Possible infected registry & just remove it forcibly. If you have any questions you can add a comment on it. Even if the virus is NOT DELETED then you can use last system Restore point & we suggest you to Backup a last correct Working of your OS to a system restore point which will help you to recover your OS with Virus Free or Trojan Free.

Your computer can be at risk due to viruses or trojans. This risk is greatest when you are connected to the internet or share files among different systems with removable storages like pen drives or floppy disks. We use anti viruses to fight against such virus threats. You can use any of the good anti viruses available in the market today. I have been using McAfee Security Centre for past 6 months and I have found it great for the purpose. I think you should give it a try!

To protect my PC from virus I generally used antivirus software. I have used many antivirus software is and I think that dit defender is one of the best anti-virus software is available on the market. It has been also awarded the press antivirus for the year 2006. And to fight with spiders I separately used a programme called Spike Dr. This is a very handy tool which deeply scans your hard drive for any spy where programs and also cleans them for you.

I used to use norton antivirus but it started giving problem so i had to stop using it.best antivirus i used ever is AVG-Antivirus. its more secure to use AVG although i also used Norton and Mcafee and many more. but now i am satisfied with the AVG antivirus. its absolutely free for home users and the updates are quite easily updated without so much of time. and it gives the high performance for my computer. Many a times when i am sharing something in my LAN, AVG immediately detects which type of virus is this and completey wipe out the viruses. So i would like to prefer AVG antivirus and also suggest you to use avg instead of any other antivirus.note even though we use latest and upgraded antivirus to protect our system sometimes our system get effected by latest viruses.
