For me, I enjoy cooking when I have time time...During the week with work and homework with my son and such, I don't get to spend alot of time in my kitchen preparing food and such. I find myself in the kitchen during the week, mostly about 45 minutes at the most preparing simple meals. On the weekends, My son and I normally order out and Sunday's, I tend to spend quite a bit more time in the kitchen preparing a big dinner. Sometimes, If I invite friends or family over the dinners are bigger. Sunday's I can be in the kitchen from 8am making a nice breakfast, and starting my dinner which can take 2 or 3 hours depending on what I cook. have you ever thought about how long do you spend in your kitchen and do you enjoy cooking?

Sundays is my day to get down and get with it when it comes to cooking. I like thinking about what I'm going to cook on Sunday. That's the only day I prepare a rather big meal...thank you for responding

I think it all depends on my mood nowadays. When I was married I didn't mind cooking all at all, but now after the divorce and I have no man to cook for except my kids. I find myself doing the easy fix meals. Pop things in the microwave and call it a day. I started cooking a lot more though. On the stove but I still don't like to spend alot of time in the kitchen. I guess I probably just got to break myself in slowly again.

As I'm SAHM, I do cooking almost all the time, so on the average, I spend at least 2 hours in the kitchen preparing and cooking lunch and dinner. I give myself a break from cooking on weekends or when I'm just too lazy to cook or run out of ideas as to what to cook. I find that it helps to cook for the whole day, meaning that I cook a BIG portion of everything and serve the same food for both lunch and dinner. It really saves time!

I also like cooking. I am a working woman. I get up at 5 am to cook breakfast & lunch. Every Sunday, we have guests. So on Sunday we have to make special food for the guests. All other days I prepare normal food. On Sunday i spend minimum 3 hours in the kitchen. If we prepare nice food, the children also enjoy it

I am like you- During the week I'm not in the kitchen for cooking alot. Well almost each night (we usually order out monday or wednesday- basketball practice).. Alot of times I'll throw dinner in the crockpot in the morning so when we get home its cook potatoes or rice dish and we eat. I find the simpler the meal the smoother the night goes. I do not get home from work until 4:30--
On Sundays we always do a nice meal.. and my daughter loves to bake so not every Sunday but at least every other we bake.
I love to cook when time allows.

I am no cook. *laugh* I mostly warm up pre-cooked meals and foods in the microwave. I know, I know, radiation and all that, lol. But I guess that I'll take my chances. I really don't feel the need to use the stove very often. My family cooks a really nice, healthy lunch for all of us, and I figure that that makes up for a lot of whatever I feed myself for supper. Not that I try to eat that badly then, either! *laugh* So anyway, I don't really spend a massive amount of time in the kitchen. At least not cooking! *laugh*

For some the kitchen is not the best part of the house but for me it is because it is my outlet, every emotions that i have for a particular day, my kitchen is the witness to it all. I love eating very much so it follows that cooking is also that interesting and appealing to me. Cooking for other person just gives so much joy and glee. It feels great that in little ways like cooking, you touch the lives of certain people.

I love cooking...as I get older, I am getting into it more and more! But...I have days where I just can't get myself in the mood to get in there and whip something up. I love trying new recipes and seeing my kids. Usually, they hate it all since they are SOOO picky!! LOL But, I still have fun

Since I am the only cook in the house I would say that I probably spend at least two hours a day in the kitchen. On the weekends it is more about six hours each day. I love to bake and cook so sometimes I will spend even more time in the kitchen. Not only do I like to cook, but I love the way the house smells when you are cooking or baking something. The more time I spend in the kitchen the more inviting my house smells.

I am a student so I dont get much time that I could spend more of the hours in kitchen of my day. I am quite a busy person because after my college I have one tuition and I am also doing a computer course. But I do cook in weekdays like on saturdays and sundays and from morning till the evening I helped my mom in cooking.

Ha ha ha, do I have choice.......I am a working women,I have to run to work in the morning, and then in the evening, I have no choice but to get into kitchen. All my family members, like just my cooking and they are waiting for me. In the eveing my kitchen turns into a resturant, each one want food of his or her own choice. so on working days I am in kitchen till,I have cleared everythng. On holidays I like to make something different, beside the usual stuff so, I think whole day I am in kitchen. Only in the evenings I am free. but then again for dinner you have to be there. Well women and kitchen are good friends. I don't mind spending time in kitchen, does't matter how much.
