Have you ever wished your significant other would change for the better?

In the Philippines, we use the expression, "'pagputi ng uwak" to say that something is not gonna happen. For example, we might say, "Of course, he will change. 'Pagputi ng uwak (when the crow turns white)." I've used that expression a couple of times in the past, without realizing how really, really black a crow is. Then I saw a crow. Very closely. Since the day it happened, the old expression has taken on a deeper, heavier and more bitter meaning. Anyway the question I wanna ask -- have you ever wished your significant other would change for the better? Have you gone past that stage? Care to share?:)

i have. had. i am also a filipino. but of course we should also think that we loved our special someones for who they are and not for who we want them to be. i understand how you feel. i'm kinda in the same situation except, im the one who is being forced to change. kinda like that. i hope you two could work it out. there is still time.

There's nothing to work out anymore. :) Acceptance is good; but being an accessory to a self-destructing procedure is an entirely different -- and awful -- story. I can't watch anyone self-destruct before my eyes, especially when I've done all I can to help.

Who cares?I am the one who believe in myself and whenever i feel the change is required i try to make that change in me.You can change yourself not the world as i am too small but yes i have the desire to make change and of course for the betterment of others.To make it happen one needs desire,passion and the self confidence.I have all that in me.Most of the time you must have take the ownership to do that and to set example in front of others to make them feel.Who cares?what others will say.I will make it happen and if not i will change myself.

Well, I have been in some relationships that were like that. I just never try anymore I just leave them and move on with my life because there is no way anyone would change. They just like who they are regardless if we like it or not.
