For me I think it is the frequency of the bad beats not always the degree but I was playing K T offsuit in the big blind with one caller late in a tournament (actually a couple of spots from the money with 800+ people). The flop comes T K T. He makes a small bet I call. The next card is a 6 but still a rainbow, with no possibility of being a flush. He immediately pushes all-in and I call thinking he also has a T and just hit his other card for a samller full house. He turns his cards and has Pocket K's.
