What is the oddest fact, that you can think of?

My most recent odd fact will have to do. Did you know that there are ocean animals that are related closely to roly polies ( sow bugs, pill bugs, pill wood lice). These bugs are closely related to shrimp, even the land ones. The ocean ones weigh about three pounds each. Bonus fact, in laboratory studies pill bugs exhibit definite left and right handedness when navigating a maze. I want to know who funded those studies.

Hmmmm...ok...I'll play, but I will only give you the one's that I like. LOL -The Mona Lisa doesn't have any eyebrows. -When you sneeze, the spit droplets travel at a speed of over a 100 miles per hour. (So cover your mouth people.) -Fingernails grow almost 4 times faster than the toenails. (Doesn't help me much, my fingernails break too easily.) -Porcupines float (Their quills are hollow.) -A penguin is the only bird that can swim but not fly. (Ostrich can't fly but it can't swim either.) -The opposite sides of a 6 faced dice always adds up to seven. (Think about that one...the other side of 1 is 6, on the other side of 2 is 5, and the last two remaining number is 3 and 4.) How's that? Oh! And my favorite...the chocolate chip cookie was a mistake made at the Tollhouse Inn. LOL And the reason it was called Tollhouse is because it was an Inn located just off a Toll highway. ha ha ha ha And in case some did not know this...she was trying to make a batch of chocolate cookies and ran out of the cocoa. So she broke up bits of chocolate and mixed it in the batter thinking that it would incorporate into the batter when it melted. Wrong! Oops! And the chocolate chip cookie was born. LOL Awesome stuff!

Every new year's eve, I always think how weird it is, that people in Australia and Europe are already in the new year, while we're waiting for midnight to celebrate the new year!

I've always been quite impressed with kiwi's .. these flightless birds from New Zealand are about the same size as a domestic chicken yet they lay enormous eggs that are up to ten times larger than a chicken's egg, which means the eggs are roughly a quarter of the size of the actual kiwi .. OUCH !! And if you don't believe me check it out .. some web sites even say the eggs are roughly one third of the size of the kiwi !!

The female Preying Mantis chews off the head of the male while mating to actually make him perform better! There so many implications here for the human female, but I don't want to encourage 'em! LOL!

there is a frog , and if you lick the frog you will get high. Now i would have to go look it back up but it is a fact. Now if we spread this true fact arround and we start seeing alot of people with frogs, I think we can get alittle suspicious.lol
