You should be drinking water during your workouts. If your muscles don't have enough water during a workout they will get fatigued much easier. Drinking water will also keep your body temperature under control. It will also keep you from getting dehydrated. Dehydration will lead to fatigue, cramping, or even worse like heat stroke. The latter is only a problem if you work out for more then two hours without taking any water in at all.
Also by drinking water you are giving your body a chance to recover. Your body sends water to the muscles that you are using the most while working out. The reson why it sends water ther eis to increase the flow of blood and speed the recovery of that muscle.
Be sure to drink plenty of water while working out.

You should definitely keep drinking water if you feel thirsty. At least make sure that you drink plenty afterwards, if you can't or don't drink during your workout. After all, if you don't you could easily become dehydrated. It's really important to keep hydrated and replace the sweat that comes out of your body while you are exercising. If the average person is supposed to drink like 8-10 glasses of water a day, and I know that most people probably don't, I know that someone getting a good long workout definitely needs to drink that much. I mean, you honestly are losing a lot out fluids out of your system when you exercise, and your thirst is definitely your body's way of telling you to get some water in it! *laugh* ^_^

If you are going to drink anything during a workout, water is the best thing to drink. It is the healthiest drink and it helps replenish your body of the fluids that you lose during your workout. That is the only thing that I drink during my exercise.

You should be drinking water during your exercise routine. You need to replace the fluids that you are loosing.
If I am having an especially active day, I like to mix water with Gator Aid to replace salt and minerals as well

I think that you should sip on it, if you are thirsty, but not to gulp a lot during the work out.

You should defintely sip water to keep hydrated throughout a water. However you should avoid drinking it in huge quantities or you could get a stitch or feel bloated which will make you less able to excercise.

I've always heard that you should drink water when you need to while exercising. I usually will take a couple of sips of water before I start exercising and also have water nearby. Some of the exercise tapes that I do break in the middle to check your pulse and have a water break.

yes, i think you should be drinking water during your workouts. it makes a huge difference to me. I made sure I have bottle of water when i'm on the elliptical or am working out. I like it because it refreshes me and give me a mini-break to refocus. It also helps revitalize me.
