I Hate Ice Storms!

I live in Missouri, USA and we experienced the worst ice storm ever last week. At my home we were without electricity for six days. Some places still don't have it! My husband, 25 year old son and I stayed cooped up in our living room with a fireplace for heat, candles for light and cold food for nourishment. A neighbor who has a gas cooking stove sent us a thermos of hot coffee each day and something hot to eat. For entertainment we drove each other nuts and counted the number of times limbs hit out house and the surrounding area. One huge limb knocked down our patio cover and ripped the weatherhead (the post the electric wires are attached to) off our house. Thank God for Homeowners Insurance! Our yard is totally littered with tree limbs now and I'm sure my flower beds will never be the same again. I guess I'm somewhat stressed and depressed by the whole event. Thanks for reading.
