Absolutely not, 20 is not too young to have a baby. I had my first at 15, and that was a bit to young, but that was also extra oridinary circumstances. It really does depend on the individual person. When I was twenty I had a three year old and a baby on the way. However I work with a 20 year old that acts more immature than my kids. As long as it is not unconsionably young (my opinion, 13 and under) it more depends on the persons attitude and maturity. I know some teenage parents that are more responsible, mature, and basically, better parents, than some of the 30 something parents I know. Not trying to take away from the older or younger parents, I really do believe that it all is dependant on the person, not nessasarily their age.

Definately not, if you are mature. I was 18 years old when I had my first, and would never regret it. Its also good to be sure you are in a stable relationship and they guy is going to stick around for good. If not then definately wait. I will say that having a baby at a young age ties you down, so if you like going and and having a good time that will have to stop. I was so ready for family that I didnt care about all of the other things I missed out on. It takes alot to raise a baby, but if you honestly are ready then go with your instincts.

This is different for each person at this age. Not everyone is responsible enough to deal with a child at the age of twenty. At the same time, being 20 means that you are no longer a child. If a person is settled down, has a future in mind, and has carefully planned having a child then they should.

i think twenty is too young to have children. unfortionately, in american society, a woman under 27 rarely has the income or stability to raise a child. usually, they are best situated at middle age, when their fertility is declining. that is unfortionate.
