Do you use the traditional real butter, or the other stuff? I want to know. I was reading that butter is better. What do you think?
Butter has lecithin, AA, omega-6, and omega-3 essential fatty acids, and well, it's real...

I use butter for most of my cooking needs. It is healthier. Less transfats, more good stuff. But I have to admit I use margarine for a couple of things. Like grilled cheese and toast, because it spreads so much easier. I hate tearing up my bread when I am going to make a grilled cheese sandwich. I keep margarine on hand for that. And the hubby doesnt like real butter too well either.

I have a recipe from Sally Fallon, and you take 1c coconut oil, 1 c sesame oil, 1 c olive, and blend them together, it might be nicer than the margerine when spreading, but healthy like the butter

really, to be frank, i got no choice, i use either butter or margerine, whichever i have i used to if i were told to make a choice i will pick butter because of the new information i have gotten now. so if it is better then why going for the lesser one

I think I am with you gabbys. Down with the fake stuff, the real stuff sounds so wonderful, and dang it all, it tastes far superior as well. My kids are looking healthier, and I am liking the results thus far.

I think the thing in our fridge is margerine..
It comes in a tub and you use a knife to spread it. Isn't butter the kind that comes in a block and you have to chop it? I don't know. But I like the taste of butter on toast with sugar! It tastes rich =D But there are some products out there that taste like butter but aren't, like margerine and not as fatty as butter (I think that's what people think).
I didn't know butter is better ;o
What happens if you eat too much of it though?

from what I am reading,it sounds like if you eat the "right" and "good" fats, you will feel more full, your body will feel secure, and freely give up your excess weight. Unless you are to thin, and then you'll just gain, till your skin is healthy, and not so dry and wrinkly...There ya have it, this book sounds super!

I prefer the taste of margerine but that is what I grew up on. My husband likes butter. He is always reminding me that if you change one molecule in margerine it would be plastic.

hhhmmm.. let me see.. we dont usually use butter here since is it a bit expensive. what we usually use in cooking are vegetable oil since it is less expensive as compared to butter. but i think butter would is nice to use when your cooking.. aside from the added nutrients it really smells good.
