Why Did Dumbledore Had to Die?

I don't think that dumbledore and snape wanted to fool Voldemort... but it's a good idea! I think Snape was selfish... he would die if he didn't help Draco at the mission. But Harry isn't alone. He has Hermione and Ron and the Weasley family and a lot of friends but he so dump to know this...

I think Dumbledore had to die because Voldemort knows that having Dumbledore out of the way is the ONLY way for him to have a chance at ruling the magical world with an unrestrained reign of terror. I'm still torn on Snape...He did what he had to do because of that unbreakable vow to Malfoy's mother...However, his making the vow in the first place tells me he's still a dark wizard and has successfully played Dumbledore for a fool. It's true; Harry has Hermione, the Weasleys, and the surviving members of the Order of the Phoenix to help him...I think we'll see a LOT more of Lupin, Tonks, and Moody in this next book. I notice many bookstores are listing July 7 of this year as the release date, and I see someone here said we'll talk about it in July...Since nothing's been announced on her official website, I doubt Rowling will have the book released on that date...I think they chose it for the clever numerical effect...Seventh book on the seventh day of the seventh month of the seventh year and all...But hey, if it comes out that day, I'll be first in line to buy the CD version of the book, and I can almost guarantee my wife and I will have it completely listened to by the end of the weekend. :) It WOULD be nice to see the book come out around the same time as The Order of the Phoenix movie is released in theaters, though I don't think one of the books has ever come out at the same time as the movie...Same year, yes...Same month, no.

Well, thanks for spoiling the surprise. LOL!! I did not read the books yet because I wanted to see all the movies first. But, now I know what is going to happen. I do not really know, maybe it is a plot to fool Voldemort.

you could be right...I guess for now we'll all have to keep wondering until the 7th and final book comes out. I personally can't wait! I hope it comes out soon :)

Great! Dumbledores has die and it's a fact. but... I don't think Dumbledore and Snape were planning something. Why Snape try to fool Voldemort?? It has a lot of risk more than try to fool Dumbledore. If Snape and Dumbledore were tryind to fool Dark Lord why Dumby had to die?? Voldemort afraid Dumbledore! It's so stupid Dumbledore die and Snape survive...

Oh no! it's terrible I had some hope that Dumbledore could survive... but he can revive, can't he? or he can be a animated paint on the director's room \o/

I have watched Harry Potter movie upto 4 parts and i have not read any books so i do not know which part you are explaining i think so it must be 5th part so only i dont know. I like to see all the movies

I am so suprised that Dumbledore is going to die coz till I have just heard that Harry is going to die in the last movie and I think Dunbledore must must not die because Dumbledore is like a father figure for harry and he is also the greatest magician in the magic world as per the story.

Im with you a think its all a ruse to fool voldemort, so that snape can get back into his confidence. I cant believe that dumbledore would not have worked out snape in all these years that he was at hogwarts, which was heaps b4 harry went there as you have to remember harry only started at hogwarts when he was 13. And snape was there b4 that. no i think we will all seee the better side of snape , hopefully in the last book.

Somebody has to die to make the book interesting!if the one who die would be Voldemort,than the book sould end there!

well well well ladey no body can guide harry because his ideas always make him papoulor but he should change make a new another idea to make him more success

i haven't read it but i think it's a means to meet the end of Voldemort. That, i guess, we have to wait in the final book.

The answers to our questions i guess will be in book 7. like what you said it i think it was planned by snape and dumbledore to look like dumbledore was killed to fool voldemort. I certainly hope so...

well i think dumbledore has to die in this book 4 he fulfilled his purpose.and dats to teach harry to be strong...u see harry is d only one who can kill lord voldy.dats wat d prophecy said..dat only one will survive betweeen harry and lord voldy.i do believe dat harry can do better dan lord voldy 4 he possess wat lord voldy never have..its the ability to love..dats wat dumbledore oqeiz tell to harry.

Well dumbledore is not that clumsy. He did it because he want to make something happen. As to my perception dumbledore wants snape to kill him in order for snape to be close to voldemort and as we all know snape is not that bad and maybe he will have a chance to kill voldemort without letting harry potter fight with voldemort

up to a point you are absolutely right to think that Snape and Dumbledore would try to fool Voldemort by doing this insane act.But I am furious that Dumbledore, the most loving character, is going to die. Had i been in the place of Voldemort I would have let Harry go and would have not disturbed their life(hehehe). its the most depressing part of Harry Potter.

I think Dumbledore and Snape were planning something. I still believe that Dumbledore is still alive. It's just a trap to believe that Snape killed Dumbledore. Maybe Dumbledore did a magic to have an illusion for that time.
