I love to speak in complicated English but most times am not understood so I revert to simple, with disappointment. I think its challenging to use higher language when we can do with simple, after all, why was it made complicated if not to use it? Of course, I don't mean the kind of English that would send someone to a dictionary each time we speak, more phrases like juvenile instead of childish, agenda instead of plan..stuff like that..

I don't need to speak complicated English, it is only used inside the school.
When I'm with my English speaking friends, a simple conversation in English will do as long as he/she understands what you are saying even if you are grammatically wrong.

simple english is very common for us. it is very much useful dealing with any people either the person can speak very well or even poor english, the important thing is that both of you can understand what the conversation is. Some may not speak that well, little by little you can learn what a person is trying to tell dispite his poor english.
