I do, constantly, I keep a journal or diary (though diaries are kept in fancy-schmancy little books with locks,"journals" reside in notebooks, binders, even folders). I write lists like the list of brainstormed topics that I plan to work with this week and the next one. Letters to creditors and strangers. I write notes for school, notes to people to leave on their door when you stop through and they are not in. I write all kinds of things, in fact I get a thrill from the back to school shopping period every year 'cause then I can buy 8to 10 spiral wirebound notebooks for a $1 or 2. Plus fancy pocket binders, rulers, stensils, pens and pencils, ink for my printer, printer paper, and mechanical pencils cheaply!
What if anything do you write, or is it all tech and computer keys for you?

I usually keep some handy when I am at home and it is always easy to find in my house. I am a student so there is paper galore. lined, unlined printer paper in six collors, college ruled, colored and special ruled, memo pads, index cards and a cork board wth paper all over it. I am write on top of paper!

I couldn't live without my pens and spiral notebooks, lol. I am like you, I get almost giddy when the back-to-school sales come in the summer. I also do to-do lists, goals, and journal. I find that with my writing, I do most of my plotting, character sketches, and brainstorming in a sprial notebook. I also brainstorm and take notes when something strikes me in my notebooks. I know many writers now that are strictly technical and computerized, but as for me, I will always use the pen and paper way.

I believe that in the final analysis that this is a very good trait, by noting things on paper you stimulate two different segments of your brain and provide them with data to store on the one computer you don't upgrade or reboot, the one in your head and by so doing you are imprinting the information you're writing longhand and thus own an better likelyhood to remember things.

I used to keep pen and paper in my shirt pocket always.
It is for making a note of the things which i've to do on that day or in future.
As i'm poor in memory it is so!

No i am not a pen & paper kind of person. I wanted to write down most of the things ..even i bought dairies but eventually it was just a matter of time that i left it. I keep things in mind and sometimes even forget it. I know its a good habit to write down things but to make it a habit is a difficult task for me.

inspite of the technology that we have as of today, i still have my pen and mini-notepad at hand, so that if i need to remember something or have to write down things, i have my things ready. I also organize what is going to happen at one day by simply writing down on my notepad the things that i have to do, i also have a mini notebook, it's like a memopad that schedules all the things that i have to do in a month.
i always have my notepad and memopad at my bag so that i always keep track of what i am suppose to do during the day or the moment.

No I would not take any notes for these type of activities because it is a daily work.

I usually write down things and start composing poems and verses whenever I feel like doing. After I've finalized my writing, I encode it in the computer and keep a soft copy for my self and at the same time, keeping a written copy also for future references.

the only time i desperately need a pen and paper are when i need to note down phone numbers cos i am the most terrible guy wehn it comes to remembering numbers. the rest what ever i wish to note down my comp is the only place, no pens and papers cos i normally mispalce th paper and then create mess in trying to find it .

I think it is good to note it down using paper and pen as per my view and in this generation the computers have made humans such a lazy such that they doesn't use the paper or the pen to note it down and i m one of those and i spend my time almost in front of the computer only rather than reading or writing that too after joining mylot i have completely changed and i got some good communication and other skills it is very handy.

Absolultely,
pen n paper are critical for me , especially, when i am in meetings, etc.
i have to take notes, especially with clients, etc. i cant go back to them n say, hey, i forgot what u said, can u please repeat.
also, taking notes, etc makes you more organised.

Usually, I spend some time in the evening to write something with a pen. Writing ideas on the pages of a notebook is fun. You can draw, write, paint colours and make any special icon of your own at the same time. It is very handy. Also, I think using our hands to write has an effect of exercising ours brains. Its pretty much like physical exercise. The more you practice writing with pen the better intelligence you will get.
