I sometimes eat cookings with garlic, but the problem is that im not always eating the same food as my matte, so, when i have garlic breath, even if it is just a little bit, he complaints. I wash my teeth and tonge but its not enough. I've tryed eating a bit of coriender after the "garlic meal", but im not sure if it works. by the way, im not eating garlic cookings anymore, but as i have to lunch out during working days, i cant control if the food comes with or without garlic.Do you have any suggestions?

Garlic breath, I love garlic sauce but I hate garlic breath. As far as my experience, I eat green leafy thing with it and the last thing to eat as well. I tried it in the middle east where shawarma is very popular street food and they are also served in restaurants. I love the lebanese restaurant that serves shawarma with garlic sauce. I just cant resist it. Usually they serve it with rocket leaves. If you are familiar with rockets, they really work well in fighting garlic breath. I learned from somebody that its the chlorophyl element of green leaves that gets rid of the garlic smell. Try it, I hope it works for u too... But I would say, don't have garlic sauce if you go for a date. he he :-)

Have you tried any of those breath mint things. I think there is a gum out to that claims to "clean" your breath. I can't remember the name. And I don't know if it would work or not but what about trying to brush your teeth with a little baking soda. I know its supposed to absorb odors so hopefully it will work.

the best way to solve it is cook it properly and then it will mix up with other ingredients you won't even notice that garlic is there in a dish.

I think drinking sufficient water will solve the problem . Because water desovle the smelling gas coming out of the garlic residue .

Go to a health food store and get some activated charcoal tablets and chloraphyll lozenges... Activated charcoal will neutralize the garlic in your digestive system and chloraphyll with freshen your breath. I like the smell of garlic and when my girlfriend(s) eat it, I enjoy kissing them! :)

My husband complains about garlic breath too. I love garlic though. Chewing on fresh parsley and swallowing some helps because it has chlorophyll. Also chewing a little green cardamom (ginger family) helps too.

Hi milagre; Your poor hon and You! I know, I Love Garlic Too and what I do is right after I eat garlicy food, I brush and flosh and then chew on some fresh parsley. Unfortunately, I don't think there is really much we can do about garlic breath after injesting it. Especially the next day!! The best suggestion I have is for both of you to eat the foods with garlic on the same days even if it isn't together. That way he wont notice it on you and you on him :D Here is a handy link: www.//garlic-central.com/breath.html and unfortunately it says pretty much what I just suggested. There is no real cure so both of you eat it on the same day and problem is solved.

Tell your husband/partner or date to get used to it because garlic is essential for fighting against colds. Try getting them to eat garlic, if they say they don't like it as my husband does, I sneak it into his food. Just cut it up really small and give it to him in his meals - works for me every time. My husband claims he hates tomatoes, onions, garlic and mushrooms but he ears them if he doesn't know its there.

Lol good topic. I had eaten bruschetta (toasted Maltese bread with tomatoes and garlic) and I hate that taste of garlic throughout the day of garlic. I took chewing gum while out, and when I arrived home I brushed my teeth and used mouth wash. It worked for me.

Fairly simple. Here in Malta, we use Maltese bread.. for me its the best bread :P But you can use any type of bread.. preferably thick bread. Put in the oven for a while, till it gets crispy, then add chopped tomatoes, some olive oil and chopped garlic. You can even melt mozzarella to it on top, it comes very very good! :D ;) Its a Mediterranean type of food, even in Italy you get it. I hope I helped you!

Eat a piece of chocolate.....I don't know why....but it works. If you consume a lot of garlic....you can get rid of the garlic breath...but that smell will come out of your pores when you start to sweat. Eating garlic is good for you....just keep it in moderation.

I read somewhere that cooked garlic doesn't cause the garlic breath smell, just raw garlic. I also think there must be something else in garlic breath besides garlic. Because raw garlic smells good to me. Raw onions do too. Sometimes raw onions smell so good, I get sentimental, and get tears in my eyes.

For removing bad breath after having garlic rich food the most advisable thing is "saunf"....but you can try any mouth freshner may be some with mint. It really works and no smell can be traced.
