Images in Mylot

Do you rate the images that people upload here to Mylot? Did you know that you can?
When you see the small image click on it to view it full size. When you do just below it is the same thing for the discussions, buttons for: + - ! You can give images a positive rating, negative rating and even report them.
I have reported a few where the image didn't go with the topic at all or when it was pornographic in nature since that violates the Mylot rules. Otherwise when I do look at them I do rate them usually a positive.
I was curious to see what other people do and if they knew they could rate those as well.

I had no idea that we could rate photos on Mylot and I have been here for awhile now. I've always just viewed them within the discussions themselves. Thanks for the tip, I'll do that from now on, particularly the ones that on occasion really catch my eye. Cheers!

You're welcome. I only found out when I was looking at some pictures in my interest. Saw it there with a real little image, the bigger ones I have to scroll to see it.

I have gone at times and just looked at photos. Just for a change of pace. I do rate them.

It can be a nice change of pace I agree. There are some great photos up. I don't know if rating does anything for earnings but my thought is it's nice to do that just like rating comments.

yes i agree with you it is nice to rate them.. i also do most of the time... and i think it is sort of encouragement.. what do you say.??

I dont usually to rate the images that people upload to mylot because i dont remember that its possible to rate them so i always rate the comments or replies that the most people posted on the discussions, although its also important to rate the photos because some of them really are very good from my point of view, have a nice day on mylot and happy earnings also.

I was aware that we could view and rate images. I have done it a few times, but not as often as a could. It is a nice feature that allows us to express ourselves and add something wonderful to the discussions. As long as we all keep is clean - I say YAHOO!!

I know what you mean. I've had to report a few because they weren't clean. Sad that some will abuse the system. However if we use the feature we can help keep it clean.

I don't know if it makes any difference or not to be honest. It might but have no clue. I'm sure the reporting does but the positive and negative I don't have a clue about.

hi once a friend of mine here on mylot posted that she earned 3 times more for images coz her friends rated them. i rated some of her pics then and few of my friends rated mine - i didn't get a penny for them.
it's good to rate negative ones for sure. atleast those who r just uploading them for the heck of it will stop.

Yeah I'm not sure if it makes a difference or not for the + side but I figure it can't hurt. Those that are not good or are off topic they need to be rated so that mylot takes care of it. Why should they get paid for images that are as you put it just for the heck of it.

You're welcome. I don't know if it effects the rating as in our stars or not but I figure it can't hurt at this point unless you are doing completly wrong images.

i have loaded few images in mylot but i did not receive any pay for it ,is that they pay only for few pics or for every pics which we upload.

I have no clue. I know the pics in the profile area doesn't count at all towards payment. In the interests they do and in the discussions but that's about it. Which I could be more help.

Yes that is part of then fun here...:) I have found some very cool pictures that people have uploaded to go with their discussions and responses. I tried to up load some last night to go with my discussions I have no clue where they went LOL ..still working on that as I have only been here just over a week now... I keep reading all peoples discusssions to find out how things really work around here... you included !!! thanks

You can't upload images to a discussion until you've reached 500. Another one of those things they put in to prevent the scammers. Right or wrong it's there. I'm sure you will be there in no time. There are a lot of good discussions in here about Mylot and tips to help work it.

Since I'm new, I haven't rated pics yet, still getting used to it here, but I've seen some great pics and now I'll remember to rate what I like...mostly cats...I'm a sucker for a fuzzy face! lol Thanks for the tip.

Yeah I'm a sucker for a fuzzy face myself :) I love seeing all the animal pics.
A lot of people have posted they didn't know and some have been here for a while so you aren't alone in that. I just spotted it by chance.

Yes, I do rate pictures. :)
I think it is a good thing to be able to rate pictures.
I think it is even better that we car report them too.
And because of this, I have seen less abuse when it comes to pictures.
I used to as a bunch of pictures that did not pertain to the discussion.
But since the rating, I have only report one that had nothing to do with the discussion.
The the other thing I like is being able to add a comment to pictures.
If I am a friend of the person, because to comment on it one must be even when it is in a discussion, I will leave a comment if it is picture that is personal.
Clip art posted...I will not leave a comment.
So, yes, I do rate pictures also. I figure the rating system is there for a reason. :) Might as well rate then.
