I always stand up. It is the correct thing to do. Two years ago we went to Soldiers Field in Chicago to see England and the USA play football. I have dual citizneship USA & UK, my home is the USA - my partner is British. We both stood up throughout both National Anthems. My daughter made the remark that we were probably the only 2 people out of all those there that stood and sang both National Anthems.

I always stand, make sure I'm not wearing a hat, and face my flag well my anthem is playing. I have also taught my children to not only honour our national anthem, but to remain standing and quiet while another anthem is being played. I expect everyone to respect my anthem also.

I do too. It is expected for everyone to do so and if you do not, they will probably think that you do not love your country or something like that.

Yes I do, as crores of other Indians. That's is the most basic duty of every Indian citizen, and it can be done without much an effort. Why would anyone insult his own mother by not doing it? I love my India and I respect it more than anything else.

Yes, I do. I respect my National Anthem.
This is necessary for our own dignity.
If we Indians won't respect our pride, who else will.
I am a proud Indian and it is one of the few opportunities I have to display my affection for my nation.
Jai Hind!

I always do It show respect to your country and every one in it. I am in the middle of teaching my three year old to do this. I think that if you do not then you are being very rude.

Of course i will. I respect my country's national anthem. Even when the national anthem is being played up in instances such as medal ceremony, award ceremony, etc even in television, the first thing that i do is to stand up and give respect to it. Not giving respect to our national anthem is like not giving respect to our nation itself, hence I will not do that mistake.

I always stand up when I hear our anthem unless of course I am in a moving vehicle then it is not possible, however when this happens, I am respectful enough to cease all conversation until it is over.
