What is the strangest thing your cat will eat?

I don't have any pets except some fish for my daughter, but I just saw a television show on Animal Planet where they showed emergency vet cases involving pets who swallowed odd things. Among them were a dog who swallowed a river rock from it's owner's backyard, a ferret who ate almost a whole pink eraser, an iguana that swallowed about 25 cents worth of coins, and a dog who played a game of catch with his owner and the stick ended up going straight down the dog's throat. I guess pets are much like children in that you have to "pet-proof" your house instead of "baby-proof" it.

My cat goes crazy whenever we eat corn on the cob. Once we're finished with them, he'll eat off whatever he can right off the ear of corn.

My 3 cats just loveeeeee tuna. Everytime I make a salad they are beside me because they knowe i'm eating it with tuna lol But the oldest of my 3 cats (Mimi who's 7) have the weirdest taste. She just love french fries. But she doesnt like the one we make only french fries from restaurant. She also like little coockies made with vegetable. She also love nust and chips (her fav chips is doritos). And they other day she was eating salads lol

My cat loves sweets! When my daughter was smaller, she would be in the floor playing and if she was holding a lollipop, he'd walk up and lick it! If you hold a lollipop for him, he'll lick it endlessly! He also loves to lick little bits of cake icing from your fingers, and he will tear the house apart for ice cream! I can't belive your cat eats brocolli! That is amazing!

I had a little grey cat (Herman).He loved popcorn and Fritos.

Our female cat will eat just about anything. I guess the oddest thing I have her seen her eat was Coconut & curry chicken. Our male cat is pickier. The weird thing (I think this is weird at least) I have seen him eat is pretzels. He loves salty things like that.

My 4 year old calico has an addiction to Pop Tarts! Well, only the crust around the edges. She really likes the frosted strawberry. If I sit down to eat one, she is on my lap, meowing and making herself look as cute as possible, so that I will give in and give her some. I also used to have a cat that would eat green salad with me--with or without dressing.

Hi there...given a chance there are many cats who actually will eat anything their owners will eat, however many human food contain ingredients that can be toxic to cats even if fed in small amounts. For example onions and garlic cause Heinz Body Anemia and is fatal for cats. Therefore, it's always best to err on the safe side to only feed cats foods and treats designed particular for them so we don't uknowingly or accidentally feed them ingredients that are poisonous. The strangest thing I have ever seen a cat eat is Bengay. My mothers cat had a thing for it for some reason. It was really strange. It never hurt him when he did it. We tried to keep it away from him just in case.

I once had a cat that ate nothing but dog food. She would not touch the cat food. Maybe in her brainn she thought she was born a dog. Really weird.

My mother in law has 2 tonkense cats, and one of them loves eating Lettuce! Its insane to watch. My cat hates chicken, raw, cooked, all chicken... EXCEPT! You know the chicken you get on the McChicken burgers at McDonalds? You guessed it! Thats the only sort of chicken she will eat!!

It wasn't my cat, but a friend of mine had a cat that loved lima beans. It was completely vegeterian, and would not eat meat. It would eat all vegetables, but lima beans was his favorite. I couldn't believe it the first time I saw him eat them. It was hysterical.
