Why do women always go to the bathroom together?

Whenever we're out if a dude has to go there's they're out and they're then they're back, noone's the wiser.
But if a lady gets up to go all the other at least one or two other ladies will get up and go with them.
Sometimes they just look at each other like they're negotiating when to go and then get up at the same time and leave.

I think it's cute. I'm a guy,and I hate it when other guys stand beside me at the stand-up urinals. Really disgusting, respect the 'splash zone' guys!

I think that the ladies will use this excuse to remove themselves from a social situation anytime it is convenient. Often it does seem to be a chance to confer with friends about their impression of the others they are with at the table and perhaps to discuss how they might be able to manipulate the situation and series of events that may unfold.
Also, often I think it is to make sure that their appearance is up the par with what they want and perhaps to take a few moments to consider their situation.
Anything they might feel the need to separate themselves from the group they are with for any kind of strategic or logistic purposes. I realize my choice of words there sounds almost combative but then I think that for women the way they want things to go in social situations is almost akin to a battle of sorts where they can win or lose.

I think following are the common reasons why woman go to bathroom together:
# Women go to bathroom together to gossip. Yes, most of the women go to bathroom to goissip because guys are not around there.
# To stand outside the bathroom watching the door so that nobody else opens the door from outside if there's no lock or some problem in locking the door.
# To hold other woman's purse if there's no place to hang it inside the bathroom.
# To put on some make up. Yes, they can refresh & put on some make up to look good. Being together helps them to ask other women how they are looking & if the make up is right although they see their face in mirrors to check.

Hmmmm. My friend/mother/whoever I'm with usually go to the bathroom together for practical reasons.
1. To guard the bathroom door because a lot of times the locks don't work. (Guys, you have to understand. You just need to stand before the urinal to "go". Girls need to "squat" on the seat. We dare not "sit", mindful of whatever germs we may pick up.)
2. To hold the bag in case the hooks inside the bathroom are non-existent.
3. To smooch for tissue paper if there's none in the stall.
4. To have someone to talk to while waiting in line. To gossip? Maybe, but not always.
5. To watch each other's back in case of hidden dangers. (I know, I know, it's a bit paranoid, but crimes -- holdups, rape, etc -- have been known to occur to women who are alone, the bathroom is no exception)
I don't know. It's one of those "girl" things that guys just have to accept even if they don't "get it". Men are women still have differences, and this is one of them.
