I live in Florida so I have been to a few different beaches. I live near Cocoa Beach. But my favorite would be Clearwater Beach over by Tampa. It is beautiful over there. White sand beaches and clear blue water. Can't wait to go over there again.

I like Miami beach, and Jupiter beach on the east side.
But, I really like California beaches better. Not as colorfull as Florida, but, much better waves to surf or swim in.

I liked Ft. Lauderdale beech but Hollywood beech is better. I guess my favorite is Daytona Beech though. This is on the Atlantic side. I have seen the ones on the Gulf side though.

I prefer the beach along the Gulf Coast area, in particular, Pensacola, Ft Walden Beach, and even areas in South Alabama that most people would not consider as a vacaton spot like Florida.

Being that I was born in Florida (Gulf side) and have lived there several times as an adult (Atlantic side) I would say for the beaches, the most beautiful beaches and water has to be the Gulf side of the state, my favorite beach is Anna Maria Island. Gulf always has the prettiest water, that deep greenlike color and it is much warmer also.

I have lived in Ft Lauderdale and although the beaches are nice, Ft Lauderdale has alot more to offer than mere beaches there are thousands of things for tourist to do, more than the beach, there are great restaurants, Miami is only 30 miles away, great theater.

well... I really hope the beaches in Naples and north of that are as wonderful as I have been told! My boss loves it out there, and that's where I'll be for my honeymoon :) The pics look gorgeous.
If anyone else comes to this thread, I'd love to know some good beachs to visit (names of the beach) around Naples and Fort Meyers!

You know, I have still never even been to Florida. It is one of those states that I would like to visit eventually, but one of which keeps getting pushed back. Now it has also been a while since my last vacation, so I do have a list working, but I would have to research Florida beaches a little more to give you a respectable answer. If I had to go with just what I have seen on TV, I would go with Miami Beach. :)

We lived in Jacksonville, Florida for a while and now we live in Virginia Beach. I honestly don't care for the Ocean over here. It seems dirty to me. When we lived in California, I preferred the Pacific, but maybe it's just me. :)
Okay, wait. We did visit the Florida Keys (Key West) back in '97 and it was gorgeous.

I liked going to the beach when I was in Pensecola, Florida. Tallahasse was nice too, but since it's the same ocean, I guess all that mattered was how they kept up their beaches - from trash and troublemakers. Things might have changed in 6 years, but I have the memories!
