Would you have your picture put on a milk carton to help yourself find love?

There are some lonely farmers in North Wales who are going to do just what the title of my topic says. Three men and two women are going to be pictured on stickers on milk cartons, looking for dates. It seems that most of them are doing it partly as a joke, but would you consider going this far to find love? Especially if you lived in a remote area where it is hard to meet people, like these farmers do? If not, what is the strangest or most interesting thing that you have done to try to find love? Have you ever placed a personal ad, or anything else like that? Feel free to share your thoughts on any of this! Here is the link to the news story about the farmers: http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_2171872.html?menu=news.quirkies

OMG, how tacky is that? I don't know if I could ever get that desperate as to post my picture on a milk carton. LOL. There are so many other ways to meet people in this high tech age. What next, post a pic at the post office?

I have to admit...that picture in the article holding up the milk with the stickers one them...um, well, the picture was not very flattering. LOL I sure hope that he picked a better picture for himself on his sticker. ha ha I think this is funny and inventive! But...haven't they heard of the internet? I think this would be the first place they tried. But hey, it was still a great idea! You gotten give them points for being creative AND for including two women so they would not be accused of being sexist. LOL The farmer's idea...not mine. ha ha

LOL about the non-flattering picture. I think that I remember the picture in question enough to say that I would have to agree. ^_^ I am glad that you found this to be a funny and inventive idea! So did I, really, not that I would hope to ever have to do something like it myself. I wouldn't rule it out, as I've said to others, but it would definitely not be my very first choice or option! *laugh* You're right, the internet is a much better option! There are so many millions of people online nowadays that you would think that they could just chat around and find someone that way, let alone all of the hundreds of dating websites that are around! *laugh* ^_^

I understand what you're saying about love coming to you if it is meant to, but it gets so hard to wait! *laugh* I know that I must not be ready for love because I know that nothing will come into my life before it is time, and yet it is hard for me to feel like progressing in life without love because love is the one thing that I want/need more than anything else. Talk about a catch 22 situation! Oh, well. I am still doing the best that I can to grow as a person and hold faith that there is someone out there for me and that we will find each other when it is time for us to and we are both ready to be together. ^_^

some people will do anything for fame, however for me i could do nothing so humiliating. I have never bothered to do anything like this, even when i was single. However, if i lived in an area where there were very few people , i guess if the alternative was sheep or a close relation then i would consider it lol

Not the first place I would start. I know how hard it is to find love in smaller communities. Not one of my boys married a local girl. I don't think they would have gone for this idea either

Ally, I agree that putting my picture on a milk carton is also not the first place that I would start looking. *laugh* But it is also not the last! I would actually rather put my picture on a milk carton or other product rather than say, hanging out in a bar. I just don't get along with the idea of hanging out in bars, where a lot of people meet other people. For one, I'm not a drinker anyway, and I don't really enjoy being around drunk people. So even though I can see many people liking the idea of meeting others that way and seeing it as being a 'better' and easier option than say, doing something wacky like this milk carton idea, I would still rather go for the wacky idea. LOL! ^_^

No I would never do this. I hope I would never be this desperate. I really have never done anything unusual to find Love, it just always finds me.

There probably aren't a lot of options that farmers in Wales have for meeting women. Farmers get up early and go to bed early, so there probably isn't a lot of time for hanging out at night spots (if there are that many night spots there). Also on a farm youi may not have neighbors nearby, so it's not like you're going to meet people by chance, except at the feed store. So I think it's not a bad idea. Not something I would do, but these guys don't seem to have manyother options. And a farmer would probably want to get married and have kids so there would be heirs to take over the farm.

Well I don't think I'd do that. But more power to them if they want too. Everyone deserves to find someone and I guess if it takes a milk carton....lol
