Yes, I rate every discussion that I respond to with a +. I will also rate the other responders, usually with a +. I only use a - when it is a yes or no answer, the answer doesn't make sense, or it breaks the myLot rules. I don't ever use a -, just because I disagree with what is being said. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

You are right to remind us. I go through spells where I forget. But now it's coming to the end of the month, I've been going through my discussions and marking the best response and giving +'s to the responses that are nearly best.
I've never marked the topic as a whole with a + though - I might start.

OH yes mam all the time! I think it's important. I rarely rate the (-) ones, they are not worth it. Just taking up space. Has no content. Why bother. But those that are just looking for shock value to to piss off someone... I do give them the (-)! it seems that's what they want

I always try to rate with plusses to people to reply to my topics, plus when I am replying to someone's topic I do my best to remember to give them a plus. It's a little harder when I'm replying from an email notification, since I can't do it before I start to reply in that case. But I try to do it after my reply is submitted. I love giving out plusses! I really don't give out minuses unless someone posts nonsense / gibberish or a one-word answer or something. Or an "I don't know" answer, because why are you answering if the only thing you can say is I don't know? At least add something to that, lol! *laugh* ^_^

Yes I do AskAlly and I have always rated the response to my discussions, as well as other responses and discussions too. I think that if a discussion is good enough for me to respond to, then it probably deserves a positive rating, because I do tend to avoid anything that I do not think is a good discussion.
However I do have to admit that there have been times in the past when I have responded to a discussion started by a friend. Some, but not too many of them, have not been what I would ordinarily have responded to but I did want to help them out a little. Now we all know the rules and so if anyone starts a discussion that take not much effort or thought on my part to respond, then I will generally ignore it, friend or not. :)
Thanks for the timely reminder on this one, and I hope that a lot of people read and take action on your suggestion regarding ratings.

Well when I feel that I have got enough replies for my discussion then I decide the best performance and at the same time I do rate the discussions always positively because everyone here comes to earn money and by rating negatively I do not want to decrease someone's earnings.

I rate + for all the people that responded to my own started discussion. I also rate someone else discussion while responding to their discussion like this:). Well, I rate you +. I think the star sign has a significant factor in our rate per post. I think the 10 star rating have better priviledge than to the 9 to 8. I am now sure with this though. I rate negative to those nasty posts.

I rate every response with a + or - . I also rate every discussion I reply to and if I see a good response while reading a discussion then I rate them too.
We also need to remember to rate pictures. I rate pictures that are added to responses, if the picture pertains to the post it gets a + if it has nothing to do with the topic -.
I think more people should be rating pictures, I don't think some know they even can.

I always rate the discussions that I read and comment on. I also rate all the comments that I recieve to my discussions. I joined mylot about the time they started the the stars system. I rated from the beginning and now it is just part of my procedure. I love reading and commenting quality discussions. Quality discussions deserve to be rated with the positve.

I always try to rate my responses with a + and I do not like to use the - because I think that the person might be trying to be responsive but perhaps its difficult owing to the fact they do not know English too well.
I must admit that I have used the - when I first arrived here because someone used offensive language towards me.

Yes, and I prefer using the + than the minus. Rating good topics is a pleasure and the more + I give, the better I feel.
I will leave the - rating up to the site´s moderators from now on. They know best what´s suitable for mylot and what isn´t.
Sorry, if this sounds a bit harsh, this is just my opinion.
Have a nice day.

I rate every single response, even if I do not get a chance to respond. Most everyone gets a +, but some will get a -, and some get turned in if vulgar or breaking rules with not speaking English or pasting. ! That's what I rate.
I also rate the best response. However I have posted a few, where so many people responded so good, I could not choose the best one.

Yes, I do. And I am glad that you brought this issue up. I realize that a lot of people are not doing this, but it makes a difference. It shows who writes the better discussions, and it also shows who is really a hardworking mylotian, and has well liked discussions.

Thank you fo reminding me on this. I was doing it the first day ro so and then I forgot about it. There's a lot to remember on Mylot, but I do read and rate all of the rsponses to my discussions. Does rating a disciussion help boost the author's ratings? I'm assuming it does.
