i am in favor of any law prohibiting smoking infront of children. this way we keep the children safe from second hand smoke and adults will be forced to display a good example to the young ones. i wish there is law regarding this in the Philippines and in other countries as well. i really find this a good law.

Once again, it's a shame that this is even needed, but if it helps keep children from breathing toxic smoke, then yes it is a good law. It's bad enough that some people still smoke in their homes, but to smoke in your car with your children, that is a crime.

some people who smoke just dont care about their health and they dont care of the health of other people especially the children. it is truly a shame that there is a need for such a law as this one.

i think that's a really good law. it will help keep kids from getting sick as much and maybe they won't pick up that habit as quickly.

We could all wish there were more of grown ups that would understand their responsibility against the kids but let´s hope they at least follow this rule and the youngsters are protected.

Yeah, that would be a good law and I will back it up 101%. I think those poor children need someone to stand up for them.

I agree and may I add the phrase: "in and around children" so that it should encompass the whole immediate vicinity of children. So is there that law with that kind of prohibition already? I wonder what is the penalty, if there is any? I believe that here in the Philippines, we only have laws prohibiting smoking in public places. I guess any advocacy on anti-smoking should have to deal with individual rights to privacy. For instance, smoking at home--does the State or Government have any lawful ground to interfere?
