Operation Return to Sender

This is the name of the program our country is on to send back illegal immigrants to where they came from. This was mentioned in our local newspaper today as they had arrested over 760 people in the state of Calfornia this past week and many of these illegal immigrants had criminal records of various sorts as well as fleeing their country illegally. According to USA today they have caught 2100 illegal immigrants in 3 weeks time. I think this is great that they are actually doing something about this. It tells me that our government is concerned about this issue and is taking action. How do you feel about this program? Do you think they will get the rest of them? This is especially good for getting the ones that are criminals as those are the ones we should be most concerned about since we already have enough crimes to begin with.

You know, if the people they are catching are criminals, then I think it is a great thing! The illegal immigrants being here that are already fleeting their country because they have criminal charges pending can not be good for our country.
And if you also figure that more Americans as in need of work, I would hate to think that if they are illegal, they could be taking away jobs that others here legally and citizens could use.
I say good for this Operation. Now, as long as more than just one state is doing it, that would be even better.

As far as I know Calfornia is the only state that is doing this but my state has made a lot of arrests as well, including a couple of days ago. I was reading this in my local paper today so it seems as other states are doing too but not heard about as much so hopefully we can at least get the ones that have criminal records out of here which would give us some of our jobs and benefits back. Yes, you are right about that. I do not know if they will keep that up, though. They will probably get really tired of that soon. I hope they keep it up because we do not need more criminals like you have mentioned.
