I'm terrible about grocery shopping. I even take that good advice of eating beforehand. My bill is consistently $100-$150 every single week and the last 2 weeks in a row have been $200. I have no idea what's doing it. I study the receipts. It's only my husband and I and neither one of us are fat or gluttonous. We also go out to eat or order food at least once a week so tack on another $20-$40 for food there.
Bread and water for the next 2 weeks!

Hmmm..well as for main groceries, I spend 300.00 a month. This does not include milk for the rest of the month, or other treats such as juice packs for my daughter's lunches/recess, granola bars for her recess, or anything little like that. If I had to estimate the total monthly spending on groceries I would have to say approx. $450.00 a month.
And yes, number one tip for grocery shopping, always eat before you go! That way you reduce impulse shopping :)

GAG lol dont bother to try it. why does everything diet have to taste so bad! not that i NEED to eat diet stuff.. but i think they just flavored that pepsi to try to mask the taste of the nastiness it contained! OMG yucky!

We make several smaller trips instead of big stock-up visits so we often lose track of how much we spend on groceries. Since we've started eating healthier, I think our food bill has gone up a bit. I try to never shop when I'm hungry...that's always a disaster :)

I am not good at all on grocery shopping. I end up spending lot of money. Lots of thing I buy get spoild, because just seeing it I buy them and never use it. So, at last I have to throw those stuff.
And yes, when I go for grocery shopping I always eat out that day. So, it's another cost related to grocery:).

We have 5 people in our household, me, my husband, and our 3 kids. That is a lot of people to feed. We spend about $400-$600 a month, usually on the lower end though. When we have parties or holidays to get food for, then the cost goes up.

we are a family of four (2 adults, a 2 year old and a four month old) we spend 200 dollars every two weeks, (not only on food, it's also for diapers, developing photos and stuff) if I were only to buy food.. it would prob. be 150.00 every 2 weeks.

It all depends on where you shop and the food you like. I shop at a store that has some wonderful values and great sales.
We like a lot of chicken and ground chicken & turkey and pork cube steaks. I occasionally buy a small roast. We eat a lot of veggies and I cook every night (except an occasional pizza night).
There are 4 of us and I can put a decent meal on the table for $5-$7 a night. With hubby's lunches and milk & bread, I spend roughly $45-$60 a week.

We spend around $60-$75 a week (Pesos already converted in Dollars) on groceries which includes 2 packs of 2 different diaper brands for our two kids, formula milk for my daughter, baby wipes, cotton balls, meat, fish, veggies, toilettries, snacks, and juice.
