The Constitution of the Republic of India is founded on the principles of Secularism and religious tolerance. That is what makes India look a great nation.
India is one of the most polyglot countries in the world. It is second, I suspect only to America.
India is home to many religions, and the Constitution guarantees religious freedom. Even the Muslims are guaranteed the freedoms, while they pushed for and obtained partition and a muslim state next door.
Having many religions and being religious are not the same. In a religious country (eg. Saudi Arabia) you could not have a successful film industry like Bollywood and all the regional film centres have become.
No I do not think India is predominantly a religious country, though all religions are free to practice.

Not only in India. You would be surprised.
USA, Australia, France, Germany and the UK now have more ethnic and religious diversity than India.

India is a secular country, but India has a rich culture derived from many religions...there are so many religions in India, but above all what prevails is that we all are Indians, that's millions of indians are proud about...
i love my nation
