We cant cope!!

I live in a town in england. All over the world on the news i see video's and pictures of other countries when it snows.
They all look like lovely picturess scenes but I bet the locals dont struggle to carry on with everyday life they just get on with it. Even when they have got 6-7 ft of snow!!!In my town you get 6-7 inches of snow and everytihng comes to a stand still. Its pathetic. We are just seriously under prepared. I s your town like this, if so, how can we get around this???

That would suck! I feel for you though! I hate shoveling when it snows. I couldn't imagine not being able to go out onto the streets and such!!

Which town do you live in?
I have always lived in bigger cities in England and call it city life or the government concentrating on the cities, but life just carries on without a problem.

I live in Iceland so we are pretty used to it :)
We don't even get a "snow day" and it's just so often snow here and if people couldn't do anything because it would be snowing we all would be stuck at home for many months a year :P
