Whats with all the scam artist on Ebay. I wish they had some sort of gaurd against these people who are only trying to steal your goods. I have tried to list a laptop three times and every time near the end some yahoo bids 8000.00 and cancels out all legitimate bids. Then he sends me a fake email from paypal that funds were deposited and to hurry and ship it to nigeria, ha, like thats gonna happen. Whats worse is I stated that I will not ship internationally and do not bid if your are out of the U.S. Anybody else ever face problems like this?

I have never had one of these sammers try to scam on something I was selling but I have lost out on stuff I was buying because of them. I did get a laptop I was bidding on though in the end because of the scammer. The seller sent me a second chance offer and i bought the laptop. The only problem I had was that because of the scammer I ended up paying more for the laptop than I would have if they hadn't sniped me right at the end. Oh well.
Because of that I have taken to checking out the profiles of people who are my top bidders to see where they are located. I don't really think I sell much that those scammers will want so I don't really have to worry about it, yet.
I do use the Buyer Requirements in my Seller Preferences. I set it to block all buyers from countries that I do not ship to. SO they won't even be able to bid. It doesn't take care of all the scammers but it certainly helps.

Wow, thanks. I had no idea that I could set preferences to block them out to help me. I asked ebay customer service if there was a way to guard and all they said was report them(which i do), but then again thats just how customer service works these days.
