da first time i tried my ahnd at cooking, i tried to make aloo tikkis (a kind of spicy potato patties) and thatwas a profound disaster.. they were too mushy, full of oil, didnt get cooked properly and broke as soon as i putthem in teh frying pan, and had no salt.. i think that w as the worst meal ever cooked at my place.. my poor mom ate all of that without complaining even onceand even lied telling me that it was good.. lol.. my dad and sis were more honest tahn that and didnt even touch it.. i must say that im a much better cook now.. lol

When I was a kid, my mom had this box of recipe cards with a section called "Recipes Children Can Make". I made Apple Bread which actually turned out nicely, though maybe a little yeasty, considering I was around 11 years old. I made it several times after this too.

I really cooked an entire meal for the first a couple months ago. I was so nervous and worried that it was all going to be horrible. I'd suggest that they relax, it's really not that hard.

In my family we were 3 brothers n when ever my mom needed help it was the 2nd one who helped and me being the elder one had quite a lot to study(i still don't understand why it is so). And i was considered a bad cook in my house as no one ever gave me a chance to cook nor tasted wat i cook.
Well the first time i cooked was for my love n she told it was very good, n even today when i cook something for her(i do it often provided my job lets me) i get a sweet peck on my cheek which is more tastier than wat i cook.
Well recently my mom has accepted that i am a gud cook
