I need some help from my fellow myLotters, please. We (hubby and I), have been invited to a Superbowl Party. Everyone is bringing some kind of snack, dessert, or finger food dish. I have no idea what to make and take. I want it to be simple and quick. Any suggestions and/or recipes?

Sausage balls! They are good and easy to make. Everyone likes them and they go with any kind of drink. Make a double batch and watch them go away quickly. This is always a good snack to make for any event!

Sounds interesting...Do you have a recipe WMG? This might be just what I'm looking for. Do you use dipping sauces? Thanks for the input. I hope you reply back.

Get some crescent rolls and loose sausage (like the little rolls of Jimmy Dean sausage in the grocery). I like to use the spicy sausage, but any is good. Get the crescent rolls out of the can and use a rolling pin to re-connect all of the perforation so you have a big strip of dough. Spread the sausage on the dough. Roll it into a log and then cut into slices. Cook these according to the crescent roll package. Delicious and always popular at parties!

Do you dip them in any sauce? That sounds really great. I was thinking of like a BBQ sauce to dip them into. Thanks tentwo67. I am glad you shared this.

How about deviled eggs (a big favorite) or I used to get a couple of packages of thin ham slices and a couple of can off asparagus. Roll one stalk of asparagus catercornered in one slice of ham secured it with a toothpick. I arrange them in a pinwheel on a large plate, they always go over big when I take them to gatherings.

Both ideas are really good. You're right about deviled eggs always being a big hit. I could even sprinkle some bacon bits on top of them to jazz em up a bit. Thank you for sharing. I like your ideas.

I myself love hot wings and they are really easy to make. All you need is: 1 package of wings 1 bottle of hotsauce 1 stick of butter Trimm of the wing tips and cut at the joint....so will end up with 2 sections. Place sections on a cookie sheet and broil until golden brown. Mean time...combine hotsauce and butter and heat until butter is melted. Toss the cooked wing sections in the sauce to coat and place back under the broiler for a couple of minutes. You can serve them right away or make them the day before and just reheat in the microwave.

Thanks. I too was thinking along those lines, but just found out that someone is already doing hot wings. I am running out of time, and still haven't made a definite decision. It's been a tough week here, and my mind just hasn't been on the party. Great suggestion though. I do appreciate your input.

Bring a fruit pizza. Make a sugar cookie dough and spread it on a cookie sheet. Remove from oven and cover with fresh or frozen fruits such as sliced strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, bananas, pineapple. Top with coolwhip. Sprinkle flaked coconut on top and chopped walnuts. Nummy.

Stuffed eggs - Stuffed eggs are my older twins favourite and i have to make them every year for his birthday party!
I make stuffed hard boiled eggs- not quite devilled eggs. Boil a dozen eggs until hard boiled (10 minutes will ensure they are hard). Cool under cold water to prevent the grey ring from forming around the yolks. Cut in half lengthwise. Drop the yolks into a food processor. Add in a medium tin of tuna in oil (drain the oil if you want). Add a good grind of pepper. Add in a small bottle of cream (300 mls - just over a cup) and whizz together until light and fluffy. Spoon or pipe back into the egg whites. Add a half stuffed olive or mock caviar to decorate. Keep refrigerated.

just buy some flour tortias and cream cheese. Some green onions and chop the onions into little bittie pieces. spread the cream cheese over the tortia, and sprinkle the green onion over entire area. Then roll the tortia up tightly and slice. dip em in salsa.
