I am originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where diversity is a part of everyday life. Now, I live in a small town in Missouri. Out here there majority is white and the minority is hispanic. Blacks fit right in the middle. To the whites-that don't know me- I am just another black person who is loud, ignorant, ghetto and poor. But get this! To the blacks...I'M NOT BLACK!!! Because my back ground is Caribbean and I am from Canada. Is this normal where u are from too? and what do you think I should do about it?

I live in a typical mid-west small town. The people are generally nice here but are very racist.

I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
there is a mix of everyone there.
I am white and my children are mixed. Their father is black.
In Grand Rapids we never ran into a problem at all and now where I moved it's mostly white people and some mexicans and then every now and then you see a black person, and when u do see a black person they are never with a white person so we get alot of stares. were only 45 minutes away from my old city but its a big differance. its sad that people have to be that way. but I guess its their loss really. I so regret moving to this place and cant wait to go back home.

I understand what you mean! But it all comes down to us not being a a race at all,but a spirit.Once you focus on your colour you destroy your chances of getting to know the real you,and also others!
Ask yourself this ,if you were colour blind would this be a problem ?
Hope that helped :)
