I also think that it is cruel and if you notice that all those hollywood people that dress up their dogs they do not have kids.So they use animals as kids.

Dogs are pets meaning you should dote on them and ensure they're well maintained . I suppose you could say you're their owner.Being their owner doesn't mean your dog and you should match however . Dogs are constantly being made to wear uncomfortable clothing which quite frankly is selfish and cruel since the dog is unable to show its displeasure. I think they should ban people from dressing up their pets like toys.

it's not only cruel, it's ridiculous and stupid lol. i always laugh when i see little doggies wearing knitted sweters and stuff. i think the dressed up doggies are just a reflection of how stupid their owners are lol. no offence here for those who dress their pets but guys they look ridiculous. dressing them is just as ridiculous as growing furs on yourselfs.

I don't think dressing up dogs is cruel; I think it is merely stupid and pointless for the most part.
If the clothes are actually physically hurting the dog, then yes, cruelty is an issue, but most dogs react to it like a collar and leash, don't like it at first, but get used to it, so I don't think it qualifies as cruel, because labeling it as such cheapens actual suffering that many animals face everyday.
Personally, I don't dress my animals up any farther than a bandana with their collars, and maybe a posed picture with the little reindeer horns for the christmas card (if I can manage to take the picture fast enough).
