Half.com is geared towards books and media. I recommend this over E-Bay.

There is another option. eBay owns another company called half.com. You can buy and sell used and new books there and get them cheap. Give it a try.

Neither one. The best places to buy books are ABE and Alibris. These are the sites used by the bibliophiles. Also, most of the listers on these two sites are professional booksellers.

I've never really looked at books on overstock, but now that you have mentioned it I will check them out. Usually I only look at movies on that site. I would still say ebay however. But I would buy books on ebay in lots so that shipping is cheaper, rather than buying a book individualy and it ends up being $6 for book. Overstock's shipping generally is $2.95 with as many items as you want, so I think that is great.

I buy and sell a lot on Ebay but Amazon usually always has the best prices on books. This is because you can buy nearly new books there. They are sold by people that have read them or received then and no longer need them. SOmetimes they are listed as nearly new or like new and you can't really tell the difference. I would check out Amazon.com if I were you.

Better than any site is Library book sales. They often have so many books that you would be hard pressed to take just one or to find none that you could read. Good luck with your quest to find reasonably priced books!

They both have great prices on books, but the shipping on Overstock is more reasonable in most cases. You might also try half.com, which is a division of Ebay. They have tons of books for really cheap, although you have to watch the shipping charges there, also.

While Overstock does have good prices on new books with cheap shipping, eBay offers a ton more choices. You can buy from live auction or you go visit eBay stores where sellers offer many books for sale. Shippping varies but most sellers will offer a shipping discount if you buy more then one book.
You can try half.com. I've bought books from them in the past but they really aren't my favorite place to buy books.
If you're in the US, you can join paperbackswap and trade your books with others and only pay shipping.

I have not used overstock yet. But I use Half.com more than anything else. I use Ebay, Half.com and Amazon.com, I check prices on all of them and buy the best price I can find for the best condition book I can. I don't have anything bad to say about any of these places. They have always been good to me and to my family. I buy for everyone, not just books, dvd's music too.
